....No that sounds pretty accurate for New Eden. If you think Dust is built for casual gamers, enjoy your High Sec battles, I'll be in Low/Null.

It sort of is....If you look at Eve online, it, at first glance, looks convoluted and tiresome. However, once you get into a decent corp, with a good set of people, the limitations are few and far between. If your only goal in Dust is to get the highest KDR in the game, you are going to fail miserably at the core aspect of the game. This is taking over territory and defending your assets. Sure you can spend days, weeks, months, grinding day after day to train your skills up and stay in an NPC corp. If that's your fun, have at. I personally like the political aspect of the game. The idea that YOU have an effect on thousands of people with your actions. CCP did not create this game for the casual player. The ability to be one is there, but as I said before, they will miss out on so much that is available to them. I don't worry about KDR myself, I rock a 2.45 and that's good enough for me. There are plenty of people out there with a ratio much higher than that, good for them. I look at overall wins, and kills don't always manage that. TBH, causal players kind of ruin the game. If your in a skirmish with your corp, and you have one team that has its team stacked with players that know how to win the match, and just one squad on the other team, with a bunch of blueberries doing there own thing, the team with the stacked side is going to win hands down every time. This was off topic, but I had to put it out there....just my thoughts.... |
