This personally upsets me. Hopefully as time goes on, Prototype gear is no longer the top end. Not even a month into Open Beta and we already have proto bears running around, smh. |

I have over 60mil isk and still make money in matches, so wearing a protosuit makes me waste isk how?
Am I the only one that has complex shields a protosuit and a douvolle. I'll probably have complex shield regulators later today. |

Why does this upset you Fiend? I agree, I hope these are only the Tier 1 of suits and we have at least 3-4 tiers to look forward too. |

Well, I got into this game because of the promise of an in depth and difficult to fill out skill system. Having people hitting top level equipment in a month?
I think that's pretty weak =_= |

seems so. but to answer someones debate no its not a waist of money to have proto suits if u know how to put a suit together now if ur using militia gear and a proto then u may be losing $ but other then that theres other gear you can use with a proto and still bank hella kills and warpoints |

If I could reset my skill points I would be, and would also almost be able to use Officer HMG's. Unfortunatly, I thought I wanted to Snipe. Then I thought I wanted to Pilot. Then I thought I wanted to AR. Then I thought I wanted to Heavy and learned I loved it.
...Then I wanted more AV capabilities. Then I learned how nice it is to upgrade my shields/armor. Then I learned about other weapon upgrades.
The list goes on. My points are EVERYWHERE, mostly useless areas for my preferred playstyles. Now I spend my time making alts and deleting them two days later so I can do a different playstyle... |

START TRANSMISSION....................
2.4 mill for protosuit, 621k for protogun, 621k for protosheilds thats 3.6 mil min to do this and no other skills can be used at that point. "Numbers dont lie PPL lie." With that said this is bare minimum of what you need to do this.
We start with 500k @ 280 a week in 1 month you would get 1.12 mil. This doesnt count passive at aprox 21k per day thats 630k w/ the passive booster thats 70k per week thats another 280 per month. since we have gone to a new sp system the xtra uncounted would be your personal grind the 1 to 1 wp=sp max 1500 per match with booster. This means if both boosters you can get aprox 2 mil a month and if your a grinder ( whoa i cant count that part for u ) would be more 100k per week just guestimation on that end.
So, in just one month I DONT THINK SO !!! 2 months very possible but as you can see this is all you can skill into no proficiency nada. IMO In one month you can have the protosuit but nothing else. Thats a glass cannon if you ask me. It takes a month if thats what you work for. Str8 from 1-5 to own the protosuit only.
Congrats to all protosuits, and to those that wish to get there, here go the numbers (aprox). Its a hellava grind.
END TRANSMISSION......................... |

The beauty of Dust and CCP my friend is that they can always add more. 6 months from now, all the high end Prototype gear that we think is top tier will be forgotten and categorized into a thing of the past compared to what will be using then. |

It's not so bad. The proto guys' fittings are going to be incredibly expensive, and when they decide, for whatever reason, not to take it onto the field, they're at a disadvantage against people at similar SP levels with lots of passive skills buttressing their lower end gear.
Once they have proto gear and a full compliment of passive skills, then it is time to panic. |
