honestly have mixed feeling as of now yes destiny looks better but we have no idea how much support they intend to give that game, we dont know how big the game is, we do know Dust like eve will evovle so chances are over time it will catch up and possibly pass out destiny, the main thing i can see as a issue now if the PS4 is effectivly coming out relitivly soon so how ever long DUST is supported on PS3 it will always be held back unless DUST is split in 2 with 1 group for PS3 and one for PS4 on 2 different engines i dont think current engine can stand up to what was on show today |

Destiny was announced for PS 3 as well. They're going to have a player base that will be as split as the player base for DUST 514. Also, why not play both? Game looks decent. I will buy it unless it is free to play... |

what does Killzone have to do with dust? With destiny, it depends how many players work together. If the groups are small, then it wont affect dust. |

Wow lol, well you're entitled to your opinion bro but ccp have a 10+ year road map for dust. Its going to be around LONGER than ps4.
Im assuming you think dust is only for ps3? Well that's not the case. They have planned to release it for ps4 for as long as they have been developing the game, dust on ps3 is only a stepping stone to get it rolling and dust on ps4 is when the serious s**t happens.

It won't be the end of DUST in any way shape or form. They will probably sturggle with the massive persistant world aspects of the game that CCP has been dealing with in EVE as much as CCP struggles with refining core FPS gameplay.
Look at Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Making any vaguely MMO type game is not easy. Even with all the money and resources in the world.
But I hope both Dust and Destiny do well. There aren't enough really good Science Fiction themed games on Playstation. Something like Mass Effect or Deadspace holds my attention for most of one play through and that is about it. Competition could be a good thing for both franchises.

the specs alone of PS4 makes me want CCP to push the PS4 already
tbh the feeling i always got was CCP using PS3 to beta test the core stuff and get a launch build out by summer then looking to fully migrate to PS4 as soon as possible where they would be allowed to do so much more
Question is , with the PS4 officially announced and sony pushing DUST 514 so much does CCP have a ps4 devkit already and something in the works? possibly a fanfest sneak peek of DUST on ps4? one can dream........... |

CCP is going to need to be support Dust for the PS3 for a year or more, after the PS4 comes out, if they want to maintain a fair portion of the player base that won't be able to readily afford a PS4 soon after launch. |

If the price is really $500 I would suspect they'd support it for 3 years after PS4 launch. It took PS2 almost a decade after the PS3 came out before they finally stopped making it. |

I suspect that Sony will put out a major campaign once CCP says they're near a finished product. They're just trying to build up hype right now - and failing. But that's CCP's fault - not Sony.
DUST514 is a great tool to fight Xbox720. Linking Console and Computer alone will be something that'll attract many and give Sony the right to claim innovation. Something they obviously desperately desire. |
