I play heavy all the time...has anyone noticed that now at range its doing less damage
I sat and unloaded my hmg on a guy earlier at a decent distance away.....got all kinds of hit markers but he sat there like it wasn't doing anything.....his shields and health didn't move and he just kept shooting at other people as though I wasn't there.......is the range that the hit marker appears bugged or what.....I've always noticed it being a little off but it seems like they needed the hmg range

Could be what Tech said, or you have some lagg issues, cuz sometimes that happens to me as well, but when i disconnect, then reconnect it works just fine from enemies far away. Yes, the HMG sucks at range. I have sharpshooter at lvl 3 and it does an ok job. The thing I do is call in a beefed up LAV, drive to a building and go cqc or I drive around and do pop and drops.
A type 2 suit works well also, flank and waddle into position then unleash the pain. Know your strengths and how to overcome your weaknesses and you'll do fine. |

I have experienced this occasionally with assault riffle and other weapons, so it might just be a glitch. Or it could be a stealth nerf. See if it behaves this way the next time you play.
I hope it is not a range nerf. I changed my mind on wanting that. Now I just want them to increase the WP for a Heavy kill to +80 with +40 for an assist. I think this better reflects your role, the difficultiy in killing you, and the expense of your suit. |

My ONLY REAL issue with HMG is that it's just as accurate as a AR from mid-long range. I don't mind that bullets from the gun can actually hit from far away. I just think it's MAD ******** that a guy can shoot a 100lb gun straight as a arrow from mid-long range good enough to rival somebody carrying a 15lb gun. Makes absolutely NO sense.
If CCP wants to be MAG just call it MAG2 and let HMG put scope on their gun and snipe wit them like you could with Valor with M60. |

Put in bold your mistake. Just because your getting hitmarkers doesn't mean you are doing 100% damage, HMG doesn't have that good of range, if you are too far away your bullets are nothing more than mosquito bites to whoever you are shooting at.

If CCP ever introduces some kind of delay for a heavy getting out of a LAV, they should use this video as a template to animate the cause of the delay.

It doesn't take any smart heavy long to figure out that they need to do something about their turtle speed when they need to move from place to place, especially a build or two ago that all maps aren't this CQC.
I doubt anyone can take the credit of firstly introduce murder taxi to Dust. |
