In a resent podcast with CCP via Cast514, ownership of planets for Dust-Mercs will becoming a focus for development to the games relationship to Eve Online and the creation of New Eden. It would be like dumping more toys and features into Eve Online; simular to the development of Wormhole resources, incursion, faction warfare and null space opportunities.
I would speculate new resources will be emerge from this development. I hope to see planetary docking for eve ships and specialized products for eve ships only deliverable by DustMercs, industries, markets, and science. A retrofit option to ship slots, or customs CPU and PowerPlant modifications could be introduced.
What other Dust Planetary ownership contributions would you like to see from this development? |

Dust players shold be able to shoot to the eve ships orbting the planet, that would probably change the way a battle is developing in space and give us more inportance in the eve universe, just like in the trailer. |

This is something to be released in a future update. This has already been planned and is currently being worked on. |

I recall an effort to see the ships overhead in space first before deciding and making a way to shot them. Step by step players will be in control of the MCCs, Warbarge, etc.
Spaceports just seem possible to me... I sures hope they consider it. |
