There should be a way to notify someone that help in the form of a nanite jabber is coming.
When someone requests a revive in the middle of a gunfight, the average logibro is not a suicidal WP farmer and will attempt to clear the area before heading over to perform the jab.
However, the time it takes to clear the area may extend for a longer timeframe than a downed person's patience.
On the flip side, the time it takes to clear the area and pick the downed teammate up may be shorter than respawning at a letter/CRU/mcc and returning.
However, there is the obvious possibility that it is impossible to clear the area; the enemy force may be overwhelming.
Therefore, we must entrust all nanite injecting logibros with a special responsibility. When any downed teammate sends a request for help, it can be acknowledged by a logibro.
I was thinking acknowledge as in using the currently unused zoom button (L1) or right click, to 'target' a downed teammate who has requested for help.
So you see a blinking revival spot icon, you target it, and the person who is down knows someone is coming for them, perhaps through the form of a message or a flashing light or multiple flashing lights.
It'd add another dimension of skill to a logibros game, and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It's up to the person with the revival jabber to determine whether or not he or she actually can make it to the person in time.
The requirement to have the injector up to select a target means that the logibro also has to holster any other equipment and weapons he possesses, forcing said logibro to acknowledge the act of targeting means there is a responsibility to do something. Once the target is selected for revival, the injector can be stored away until the situation is safe.
In addition to this, targeted downed team mates should lose the option to respawn. The following paragraph justifies this.
extra WP can be given for successfully reviving a person you've targeted, however you are penalised for leaving a targeted downed team member to die.
