So many beautiful sounds in this game. The RDVs entering the battlefields, tanks scary humming, sniper's powerful echoes, laser rifle's BADASS beam sound.... and the assault rifle's lame tak tak tak. This is one of the reason I was trying to avoid ARs in general, but they're too good for someone who's new to this game, and for my dropsuit. The thing sounds like a BB gun!!! I know many of you veterans don't care about it because you get used to it, but how many of you share my same feelings??? Is there any chance CCP will change this in the final game? I wish they sounded like the pulse rifles from Aliens, or just another badass sound.

it was fixed, but it broke things so patch was rolled back. |

most likely. the new one sounded like a disco drum tho. they're not happy with the way it sounds and know we aren't either.

Yes sir they had changed the sounds fro everything and it all sounded great. However there were some issues with game stability afterward so they reinstalled the old version until they find the problem then the new one will come back. The AR sounded pretty sweet by the way. |

I liked the updated AR sound and can't wait for the return of all the new sounds, especially the flux grenade. It seems like someone tried to imagine the Gallente AR firing a magnetically contained bottle of hot plasma instead of a bullet. Save the modern day weapon sounds for the Minmatar when we're rocking explosive bullets like real men. |
