"Gay", isn't an offensive term. The reason we object to its use here is that it's being used as an insult. When you describe something you don't like as "gay" you further the idea that being gay is something people shouldn't like. It's really not that complicated of a concept.
That's the source of our objection to the video's title. This isn't a bout being butt-hurt or offended, nor is it something we need to harden up over. This is about the fact that OP is, whether he meant to or not, encouraging bigotry and hate. |

Calling something ''gay'' is what we would do in 2003, as teenagers, everything was ''gay''.
Kids used the **** out of it and now it has no meaning but people I know who are 20-30 still use it and never to be offensive.
It's never been offensive, it's just something which everyone said, just like any slang word, with or without a meaning.
So in conclusion don't be a little ***** over the word gay. |
