Anyone interested in posting some ways to stop spawn killing? I can think of a few minor tweaks the designers could take to stop spawn killing but not all ideas are always acceptable, so I thought maybe I could hear some others ideas as well.
Well one way to stop MCC spawn killing is to make it so players drop right into a base not open grounds it seemed dumb to me to put a base in the game then a MCC at another point. The MCC should hover over the base and you should drop into it for protection. Why would you as a futuristic battle commander hover over open plains so your man could be picked off, I think the problem is the Dust designers aren't giving the game enough thought when they create things. Instead of simply creating it they need to think will this lead to spawn kill, will people be camping up here, etc... etc...
Give players a invulnerability buff I am not talking about 5 to 10 second invisibility while they are moving around but when they first jump in and their screen is black this is when most people are shot dead or critically injured. They should not be able to be damaged until they stop flashing and can move their character.
Well one of the ways you can personally stop spawn killing is by picking your points right, to many people are willing to spawn at points they know are dangerous thinking maybe they'll be able to run and gun like Rambo before they get shot and instantly end up getting killed.
Spawn killing can happen mainly because of bad terrain so I think part of it falls on the game designers responsibility to think deeply about maps and how battles will play out.
Another way to stop spawn killing is a MCC type shield on a building. The building holds clones when you spawn on that building/point you spawn in a room with a shield as the door so enemy can not shoot or enter the building. There are multiple doors on the building all on different sides so not all can be camped exit a, b, and c all with different exits. This will allow players to run out of the building and then open fire if they see someone camping outside the building they can simply take another exit on the other side of the building.
Make multiple spawn points at A instead of just one spawn point where people get blasted at 24/7 make multiple spawn points for an object. This will make it so enemy's can't be dead ready to shoot a person but will actually have to scout the area before finding the spawner. |

Really the biggest spawn camping problem is at CRU's. People think they are forced to spawn there and it makes them extremely campable. Thats when they come to the Forums are start complaining. I only had the occasional problem getting MCC camped, but in order for that to really happen you basically already lost the match. If just one or two people are camping the MCC drop point just put on a Heavy Dropsuit and make them cry. |

I know that there is still a lot of issues with spawning locations, however it has come a long way since I started playing last June when you couldn't even spawn on the MCC only the base once you were redlined, now thats spawn killing!!! Also the MCC used to move across the battlefield and I suspect we might see that feature return at some point which could help out a bit. And I don't doubt that CCP are working on a fix as it is an issue that has been with us since day one.

The first thing I do in almost every game is place a droplink someplace that is out of the way... just in case. Although, the days of really needing to do that in every game has long since passed, but if youre looking for ways to guard against redline spawn camping... |
