first off, here's the thread from announcements SHAZAM
now my issue; does anyone feel that the "uprising" event is a total failure?
the event itself: you can't choose the side you want to fight on, there's no overall win/loss counter for either side, and there's no feeling like you're really doing anything at all past the norm.
The Game itself: there's no in-game (merc quarters or otherwise) notification of the event, save the random appearance of merc contracts. there's no gameplay reward for participating (say, special loot mabye?). and there's nothing like an event point system, as in saying how much you contributed to the event.
The Client itself: lag started the second the merc contracts showed. multiple gaming bugs and glitches began showing themselves as well, freezing the client and PS3, coloring issues, graphics issues, dropsuit loadout issues. a lot of issues ranging across the board.
Now, i can understand the client/shard issues with the classic "It's a Beta (TM)" answer, but with the game and event issues, could you in the future please make an effort to make us feel like there's something actually going on? 'Cause right now i feel you guys are running this whole role-playing thing for your own satisfaction, since most of the players don't know whats going on, don't care, or don't understand. For those who do understand, well, the issues above are my reaction.
Thoughts? Comments? (I already used It's a Beta (TM), so no you can't) |

The eve side of things are more involved for this chain of events. The NPCs like Heth and etc. are actually being played in space by ISD.
I'm not sure dust is up to the proper development level to do the same on the ground. That's something that I'm certain CCP wants to address. More content is always better, but I enjoy reading all the results of what happens.
The bit about not being able to at a bare minimum pick the side you want to fight for? Yeah, that's pretty weak. But it looks like players are already dealing with it by dropping match or actively sabotaging whichever side they consider the enemy. So... meh.
I've also been told that if your Dust client is larger than say 3.5GB on your playstation that its helpful to uninstall and reinstall. Supposedly, this helps a few client glitches. Haven't tried it yet, so this could be a load of panther chips. |

I think the issue is it's a beta, but CCP opened up the game as if it's not a beta. Why, why ccp, WHY! |

I realized the lack of context and tried my best to drum it up before the events started, however it was only good for word of mouth from forum readers and IRCers
