Some of the most fun times I have had in DUST so far have actually been when the other team does not show up for a corp battle. Here are some of the things we at DUST University do to pass the time when the other team does not show up.
Practice:
- Practice Squad Leader commands.
- Practice LAV driving.
- Practice Dropship piloting.
Games:
- Seeing who can find the strangest/most extreme place to get a LAV stuck.
(I managed to suspend mine on some scaffolding about 20m off the ground after driving it up some twisty steps and jumping it off a building.)
- LAV racing. Two laps around the perimeter of the map.
- Dodge the tank. This consists of driving a LAV around while a HAV driver tries to run you over.
- Extreme landing manoeuvers with a Dropship.
(Can I land on that building. Yes. OK, now can I land on that taller thinner building? Ok, now can I land on that thing that looks like a landing pad but has pointy teeth all around it? Ah, no, apparently not...)
- I am not sure what to call it, but I lost a Dropship while trying to setup a stunt where someone was going to jump their LAV over my Dropship.
***Warning. Having fun in a No Show match can be dangerous. Use a starter fit. I have yet to make it to the end of a No Show match without dying at least twice.
So, what games do you play when your Corp has the map to themselves? |

LAV racing is awesome, I always win though.
also LAV bowling! you set up 6 guys and you see how many you can run over in one go!
Finally :AV javilin throwing. See who can get the most distance by jumping out of the LAV in mid air. Each team gets 3 members.
And for when friend fire is on, LAV racing double dash style with weapons via death race, and remote mine musical chairs! |
