Hello Everyone. I'm currently playing Dust on the family 55" LED, and would like to move into another room where I have a 27" LED.
Anyone have experience playing Dust on anything around 27"? I'm wondering if everything would scale down to looking like ants.....I could test it but it would mean undoing all my neat cabling in the living room.
I'm too vocal when I play FPS shooters.....I of course don't see a problem with yelling "Get some B@#$@", "Die Mutha #@#", and endless LOLOLOL......but somehow the wife and kids find it hard to be in the same room with me. ;)
I guess I could move out, but the game is still in Beta. CCP has several things to fix before I can make that commitment. |

I sometimes play on a small T.V. when my bigger one is being used. And i mean SMALL I don't really notice that much of a difference stat wise when i use a smaller tv I think you will be fine |

It's pretty much preference. I normally play on a 46" but on weekends when I'm heading over to a friend's I'm on a 27". It does it's job, scales perfectly fine, just have to sit a lot closer then I normally would because of the screen size (holds true with other games, movies, etc.)
Keep in mind, it's a 720p game, you wont notice any quality drop, ratio change, or pixel blur. |

I have to admit. I LOLed. I do the same thing. Lucky for me though, my wife plays League of Legends and is screaming the same things.
Recently I've started learning to fly a dropship. I cannot explain the amount of laughing I've done as I crashed into hills, buildings, people, tanks, etc. I've wasted millions of isk on dropships but the amount of fun I've been having is so worth it.
I play on a 27". I don't have a problem. |

Sweet! Thanks for the replies.
I will take the plunge and begin the process of moving to another room. Hopefully the wife and kids will make it to heaven now.
Side Note*
Totally enjoying the game I haven't played FPS since way back in the day (2000 - 2002 CAL League, BF1942 and MOHAA).
You never know what you're going to get in Dust matches...I'm trying to run LogiBro but healing others is like herding cats. I'm also used to run and gun and I'm making poor descisions in certain situations where I should stay behind the heavy guy and not try and be a hero.
Ah.....learning curve.
Last night my performance was terrible, hopefully tonight will be better. I don't make excuses for performance but...I'm going to blame the wife. LIke last night.....I'm engaged and "Have you seen the clothes basket!!" .....Wut?.....I'm trying to save our PLANET here honey! WTH. etc. |

Got my PS3 hooked into my 27" monitor, no issue what so ever, No noticible difference to playing on a bigger TV, except my mouse and keybord are easier to use at my desk than on my knee
Editted to add :

Moving room will create more of these moments, its amazing what excuses the missus can come up with to interupt your game especially if they feel neglected lol. It happens every weekend morning when im trying to get my hard earned lye in from working all week.
"do you want a brew" "no I want to sleep" Do you want your breakfast yet" "no I want to sleep" "Im going to the shop honey do you want anything" "Yes some strong sleeping tablets and a bottle of water......" |
