Yesterday I was playing and I think Ive got the same map like 7 times in a row. Really annoying because it was the map I hate the most. We all have one. It couldnt help but notice that some maps appear much more than others. Is this because every time you want to start a new game you get placed in a game where they need people and I just got unlucky with the same map every time or do some maps just appear more than others??? I know for CoD that some maps dont come as much as others because of the size of the map. Is this the same reason on DUST or just something that will be fixed

Seems like the maps are not cycling through very much. Although seven might be more than I have seen personally it wouldn't be by much. Luckily I like the map but was tired of seeing it when it finally switched. |

Yeah I have been having the same issue, but it varies by character for me. Seems that when I play a sniper in skirmish, I always get the map or a version of the map that have 3 objectives with "A" in the bowl with the high mountain top to one side. Or I might get that map, then the next map is the one that have 5 objectives where the MCC is almost right on top of "E" objective.
If I play my heavy, then I tend to see a string of the second map I described above.
When I play my assault, I always get the map with the 4 objectives where "C" and "D" are under the buildings and "A" and "B" are in the open and the objectives are in line with each other.
If I play Ambush, no matter what type of character I play I either get the map I get on Assault or I get the map with the "bowl" where "A" generally sits on the skirmish map.
Honestly, I don't recall seeing any other type of maps, just variations of the exact same objective layouts with different buildings in the area. If this is CCPs idea of map making, they have a long way to go as no matter how the buildings are changed around in each variation, the skirmishes become very predictable as far as which objectives are the first to get picked by each side and where to look for snipers at. Maps need to have both different terrains and objective locations. So far most maps are just rehashed versions of the same terrain type with the same objective locations and only the buildings changing. Kind of dull if you ask me. |

I dont play Skirmish so I dont know about the suits and the maps. Was playing yesterday again and had the same problem. Couldnt find a link why I keep getting the same maps over and over again. I use the same dropsuit everytime so I dont know if teh maps will change when I change dropsuit. But in the end we definitly need new maps and more variety in the maps that are coming . |
