As a Vet from Valor and Sver, I like that you're passionate about MAG. Now if only Dust could support the same amount of people that MAG could; that would be awesome.

So far the only Proto gear I have seen is in Corp battles. So stop acting like a hard ass, and play the game.

I played MAG for the first 5 months when it came out, does that mean I can take things over? I want manus peak for myself (well I see it so many times throughout the day it must be mine!) I also played Tribes Ascend for 3 days and the original Counter Strike, before it become a corporate money machine, for at least 6+ months. Does that make me special?!?!?!?!? |

Hi there, I'm a writer for the popular Dusters Blog, and I have a couple questions. I realize you're new here, and already adopting the IMP mentality, but you're not in IMP. You belong to IMPswarm, which comes across like a "meatshield" corp or just a section to put players that the IMP's don't want to be associated with, so my question is, why have that mentality? MAG simply allowed PS3 console gamers to play in larger scales... bringing larger communities together.. rather than the 4-6 man groups that are typical in the genre... You were able to have 32 players group up and go into a match TOGETHER on the same side.
It promoted large scale team play paired with individual skill. From this platform larger groups that have experience with scaled warfare and teamwork were born that has not happened on this platform in the past. I think early on in the beta some of the former MAG "groups" may have had a leg up by already having pre-established organization and bases on larger scales than "groups" migrating from the smaller tactic games. However, over time any advantage has naturally diluted.
Note: I say "groups" because while some Clans here weren't born in MAG they have acquired a good number of MAG "groups" that have migrated together into these clans (i.e. Imperfects). |
