i think that a skill book put in for the new suits that should be talked about in a Dev blog soon. think of it EvE style where you need more skills to fly certain ships |

This is the base skill needed to wear any suit; the level determines which type of suit you can use (i.e. level 3 = heavy suit). It also reduces your signature per level, making you harder to detect on the minimap when you are not moving or taking aggressive action. |

He's not asking about what the skill does, he's asking for what it means by "suit specialization" in the description of the Dropsuit Command. (Which I would also like to know) |

Suit specialization means what type of suit (i.e. Scout, Assault, Heavy, etc), which I guess I wasn't clear enough about in my reply. Thanks for pointing that out my friend. |

Ignore the others. This guy is the closest to being right.

I was going by memory - in this case I don't know either. |

Suit specializations would be similar to Tech2 ships from EVE, where after trainign frigate 5 you can train for covert ops ships which can cloak, assault frigates, and ewar frigates. Each has a tech1 counterpart, but does the job much better.
Take Logi for example. After level 5 you can train another logi suit skill that specializes in a suit that hacks even faster than the current logi, with some kind of tradeoff. Or, another type of Logi that has bonuses to the amount of dmg repair or nanite capacity. |

In eve with T2 gear the trade off is normally cost. Typically you even get better resists in that same class also. |

I'm fully expecting level V of the dropsuit skill to be a requirement for Tech II suits.
Tech I > Tech II
Scout > Spec Ops/Breach Heavy > Titan/Atlas Assault > Shock/Spectre Logistics > Sigma/Omen Pilot > ??? Crusader > ???
