Dear CCP, Could we please have this game that you mention on the front page.
Quote:DUST 514-« brings intense infantry combat, large-scale warfare, and deep character advancement to a free-to-play massively multiplayer shooter, exclusively on the PlayStation-«3
Thank you. |

Or, to rephrase this request, "CCP, can you please continue coding the game as you've been planning for years?" |

Come on people it does not hurt to ask every once in a while. You know, keep letting CCP know that we want the large-scale warfare bit.
I know, I know, SoonGäó
Beta, pfff this is CCP EVE stayed in Beta how many years? Oh yeah thats right some still considered EVE still in Beta mode.
If they want to use that excuse and you all want to allow them to keep using it then let me rephrase my request.
Dear CCP, Could you please allow us to play the large-scale warfare portion of your Beta. Thank you. |

You do understand that we're testing core mechanics and the bare bones of the game at this point before piling complexity onto it making the basic mechanics harder to troubleshoot? Right? |

Well, that's perfectly reasonable. You are, after all, the expert. |

I never said I was the expert and neither are you.
You can not say that this game is not ready just as mush as I can not say that the game is ready. In fact I have not stated any where in my thread that I was of the opinion that this game was ready. I have simply just made a request.
Lets help you out a little bit since it seems as though you are a little confused. The tile on my thread states simply [Request].
I am requesting.
Now since you seem a little uneducated as to what a request is let me try and enlighten you.
(r-kwst) tr.v. re-+quest-+ed, re-+quest-+ing, re-+quests 1. To express a desire for; ask for. Often used with an infinitive or clause: requested information about the experiment; requested to see the evidence firsthand; requested that the bus driver stop at the next corner. 2. To ask (a person) to do something: The police requested her to accompany them. n. 1. The act of asking. 2. Something asked for. Idioms: by request In response to an expressed desire: We are offering these scarves for sale again by request. in request In great demand: a pianist in great request. on/upon request When asked for: References are available on request.
So now that I have educated you please STFU and allow me to show you the GTFO of my thread troll door. |

I haven't told you that you can't make requests, nor given any indication that I don't understand what a request is. I was simply asking questions of you to clarify your position.
It seems as though your position is you want the scale of the game to be increased, despite your unwillingness to assert that the tests that need to be made on the small-scale version are complete?
The manner in which you make this request (quoting part of the description of the final game) suggests that you are aware that large-scale warfare is already an intended feature, making your request more of a petulant "hurry up already", rather giving an impression of entitlement and impatience.
But, no, you're right. A thread which consists entirely of "hey, you know that thing you're doing already, I just wanted to take a moment of the time you could otherwise spend working on it to tell you that I want it. See here where you say I can have it? Why don't I have it now?" is totally worthwhile and not at all silly.
