Sorry to sound a massive prick here, but it's literally as easy as running upto someone and shooting them, so speed increase ect is a good idea probably, other than tha doesn't make a difernce what you or your target has |

Don't think purely about offense or shooting with your shotgun. There are lots of other things that the shotgun scout is good for. Especially for skirmish.
Positioning/cover: Think about positioning around corners and avoiding normal lines of sight. You live and die by suprise, so equipping at least one dampener helps this. You want to be ready to counter what is coming at you, and they aren't typically ready for a shotgun. Therefore practice dodging and ducking and shooting at reloaders. You can help guard objectives by waiting for them to start hacking and then pop them. Don't necessarily charge while they are approaching it.
Stealth: Like I said, at least one dampener is huge. Also, if you are likely near enemies don't run otherwise you give yourself away. Run only for cover, escaping grenades, or getting to another tactical objective. Sneaking behind people is important. Heavies turn the slowest, then logis, then assaults.
Rushing: IMO the scout (even militia/'dragonfly') are the most valuable suit for the first 5 mins of the game. Their opening effect of grabbing the most tactically important positions has rollover effects for the rest of the game. After dropping an uplink in a strategic place, they can help reinforce after their first death. This means a likely sustained frontline assault. In a few maps, they can also grab an essential turret/installation in the middle of the map as well before any objectives.
They are weakest when they aren't using the above tactics. If you try to fit them for basic assault, to take hits, you will be dissapointed. However when running with a squad, their increased scanning radius and profile, along with some more range could mean that your squad will have tremendous advantages inside that <20m radius as long as the scout doesn't lead the fight. Also, if you are running around solo, increased scan radius means you see them before they see you, which means you can have the ability to escape them before they can catch you. This makes for great stealthy hackers. |

Disregard this advice. If you're getting into a situation as a SG scout where you need extenders then you've done something wrong. Speed and stealth are your weapons, and every attack should be made from the side or behind, or should be over quick enough that you don't get shot. Enemies should not be shooting at you and landing hits enough for extenders to be useful.
Go with profile dampeners and shield rechargers, use your speed to get out of the line of fire and then let them recharge as you sprint away and find a new avenue of attack on some other un-suspecting sap. |

Try it with assault suit its harder to kill, scouts are way to easy to kill, well maybe not for a heavy |
