A special Dropsuit that allows you to drop any distance (like from a drop ship) and land safely, just like an MCC. It would have to be expensive, ISK and SP-wise, but I think it'd definitely add some three dimensional play and new strategies. |

It would be a pretty nice, but. How would you like a guy randomly droping on your face while you going 20-0. It would kill the game. Mabey if there was a DropShock Ambush Mode. Where you see everyone drop from space at once. |

Everyone can already do this. The inertia dampener is apart of every dropsuit all the time, not just the fall from the MCC. You only need to drop from a moderate height like the roof of some buildings. You are instantly given the option to use inertia dampener when ejecting from a dropship. |

Yes. If you can do it from the MCC why would you think you can't do it from anywhere else?

Because you have to jump through a field type thing in the MCC. |

I like the idea. Could save a lot of minor damage when attempting to find interesting alternate routes.
I don't jump out of dropships often because the pilots are usually too close to the ground. Inertia Dampener requires a safe height, sort of like base jumping. It isn't available until you fall a certain distance, and it isn't always easy to determine if a fall will allow it unless you practice dying a lot.
Sniper spots on some structures are high enough for it, and that tends to be pretty obvious. |

actually they have it set up so a proper distance drop under you will allow you to Inertial Dampener activate at those times... have jumped from Dropships, decided to BASE jump off of one of the buildings too, that was fun.
