So my idea is pretty simple, and the title of this thread pretty much explains it all. Let me sum it up
Skill Points: Equal to your WP x10
ISK: Equal to your WP x100
I think this would encourage people to do more in all matches, since your rewards are now based on how much you actually contribute to your team.
Of course this would mean that more things in game would have to generate WP. Like defending an objective, Dropship CRU's giving WP, stopping an enemy hack, and so on. But with those things in mind I think this system would more accurately depict player contribution, and overall team effectiveness. It would also, I think, eleminate Match Camping seeing how your SP and ISK rewards are based of WP. No contribution-no reward.
Well, that's my idea. Condone, or Condemn, as you see fit. |

Just to put some numbers to that: i earn on average about 1300 wp in a skirmish, by your maths, thats 13,000 sp and 130,000 isk.
1) that sp is too high 2) that isk is too low
however i do like the idea, but it needs development... |

I see your point. How about-
SP: Equal to WP x5
ISK: Equal to WP x150
Which, using your numbers, would mean a gain of 6,500 SP and 195,000 ISK. |

and thats pretty much what i actually earn, only more money...
Moral is, i think what you earn is already based on some kind of warpoint accruel, although im not 100% certain. |

It might be, but I've come in at the end of a match (literally like 30 seconds to a minute before the end) done absolutely nothing, and still get awarded SP and ISK. Granted it wasn't a lot, but I'm saying that if you earn 0 WP in a match, you shouldn't be rewarded at all. |

now thats definitely true because ive done it by mistake a couple times when ive been called away and come back to earning something even though i didnt do anything. that shouldnt happen but i think they're implementing a kick policy if that occurs for people who havent done anything in a certain period of time. |

A kick policy is fine for those who go AFK, but I don't thinks it's enough. All you'd have to do is run around the MCC, or behind the redline til the end of the match and you'd still be able to leach. I think this way (or something like it), would punish people willfully not contributing, but still keep players who are out there at least trying to do something. |

how would the money idea work when you re dealing with player corporations handing out contracts? i assume that the npc's money aspect is a lot easier to mould ideas on than when the player base from EVE becomes involved. |

This has been hashed and rehashed. The Devs had taken forum input and have let us know a little. Some of the results are still unknown and one might suspect that is by design. A little mystery is good as it does keep the picky from being able to dissect the results with a fine tooth comb to find the very best strategy for maximizing SP.
As we are currently in Beta things could well change. One should assume that some of the very EVE-like functionality will arrive down here in the DUST. Salvage will be from surviving war materiel left on the battlefield as in EVE. Corp battles the ISK would clearer one would think.
However, I see little reason for the Devs to change what they have working. CCP is all about balance, economies and taking small steps. It is just in their nature. |

I don't know, that's an interesting question, since I haven't done Corp battles yet. I don't really play well with others so I prefer to be a loner when comes to MMO type games. I've heard that some EVE Corps use contracts, or something like them. So if Corps want to garuantee their members a certain amount of ISK per fight, win or lose, then that's on them. The WP system could then be like a bonus on top of that. Some Corps might want to have players earn that garuantee. X amount of matches played, while doing your part (kinda like an internship, these ARE corporations), then you start to recieve you garuanteed pay (salary, as it were).
My thinking right now is mainly outside of Corps, and Corp Matches. Corps police themselves, and I'm fine with that. Let them give ISK to whoever they want, but the SP earn would still be based off of WP. But Pub Matches, that are NPC controlled/payed for need to have something in place would deter the Leaches, not kick poor players/players having an day, and encourage more active gameplay contributions. Of course all of this might be a moot point when they open this up for the PVE stuff. |

The core concept is already in the game, I propose that Dev resources be focused on stability and new content rather than a tweak to this system.
