I personally think spawn killing is for cowards who wont go against their opponents face to face. I never spawn kill. I like the challenge of hunting down my prey and watching them try to fight for survival. Its rather enjoying. What really gets on my nerves is blueberries (and some vets) spawn killing everyone on my team instead of going after the objectives. Whats the fun in spawn killing anyways? You just stand there not even giving anyone a chance to move one foot and trying to fight back (which i find sad). Save spawn killing for Call of Duty and Battlefield people. Dust is supposed to be more than your raising your pointless KDR. I cant imagine how much ISK players have lost by being spawn killed. AND I DEFIANTLY KNOW for a FACT that even VETS are tired of being spawn killed by noobs (and other vets) Its rather old and very annoying. People will loose interest in Dust if you cant even move a foot without being spawn killed. I thought CCP said Dust was supposed to be "fair and balanced"? Sure as hell aint if you dont even have a chance. So do us all a favor and grow a pair. Want real enjoyment? Try stalking your enemy down, and watch as he/she squirms to survive as you cut him/her from limb to limb. Now thats fun. |

This game is also about risk and reward. Choose to spawn in a hot spot? Or choose to spawn in a safer spot? I personally have mixed feelings about it. On one side I have the tactical aspect of spawning in a hot spot and gambling, but on the other side getting spawn killed is a bit frustrating. |

If you look closely (zoom in), you will often see them as moving blurry pixels even if there is no red dot. The overhead map is a real time render. |

If you spawn somewhere and die right away then don't spawn there again.
I've had a lot of moments where I've played defensively around a spawn point taking out people who spawned in and kept asking myself why they don't learn. IDK, maybe they just think that this time they'll get lucky... nope... maybe next... Nope.
I personally don't get spawn killed very often and if I do it's because I spawned on a spot which I knew better than to.. or I did and accepted the fact that I'd have to defend myself right away, it's the risk you take when choosing not to spawn in a safe zone further away from the action.
Spawn killing DOES help the objective as well, you can win in skirmish by cloning the enemy and I see it done fairly often. Plus there's the fact that I'm most likely sending another player into rage, most likely making them more vulnerable to making irrational decisions & playing worse. One irrational decision could be spawning there, over and over regardless of being spawn killed already, or trying to focus on getting revenge instead of the objective.
I can't remember the last time I got spawn killed without expecting or knowing better, and not having a way to avoid it.
Your team should've announced that a drop uplink was being camped.
It's not that I don't have skill, it's that I don't take pity on opponents. If you spawned with your back to me, you're SOL. |

*shrug* With CCP planning on continuing to expand the skill tree, it wouldn't surprise me if, at some point, they will make it so you have to skill into an equip a detector of some sort in order to be able to easily locate spawn points, nanohives and remote explosives. |

Players will take advantage of whatever they can in a game, especially an online game, that's just how gamers think. If i see a easy target spawning who is helpless to defend, I won't hesitate for a moment to snuff out their life before they realize what hit them.
I get spawn killed too, so even in that sense, an eye for an eye. Even if I stop spawn killing altogether, I will still get spawn killed without a second thought. No mercy, use whatever you can to win. You shouldn't hesitate when you get an orbital opportunity to wipe out a whole gaggle of enemy players 'just because it would be mean', you do it and start salivating as the kill counter keeps rolling over with your kills. |

Of course its annoying, but being killed at all is annoying its just a little more irritating to spawn and be killed and then spawn again but here is the solution... SPAWN SOMEWHERE ELSE!?!?!
I agree about the noob campers though they do nothing resulting in the loss of the game. I mean one miss action and the game has lost. Ive learned this by turning the tide myself by grabbing a foothold by myself and take the rest of the city. |

How to avoid spawn killing:
1. Don't play ambush 2. Think about where you are spawning before you do it.
If someone spawns in front of me I will kill them, why would I give them a chance to kill me? I think most people would agree with this mentality. |

ok wall of text i didnt read entirely..
1. no one cares that you don't spawn camp. no one except yourself will put you on a pedastool for that. you might get some circle jerking in your thread but that's about the extent of your reward for not spawn camping,
2. if you're stupid enough to spawn into a point that's being camped you deserve whats coming
3. not everyone wants to carry you to your next hack point some people actually play a first person shooter to shoot at other ppl. if your so into hacking looking into the first person hacking genre which hasn't been developed yet.
4. the americans were spawn camped on omaha beach they didn't have a little forum to cry about the germans on. they manned up to the challenge and broke out of the spawn trap.
5. do a search next time this thread is more blathering about a moot issue, moot as in you have options to not spawn at a point that is being camped
6. i will proudly declare that i am the non hacking blueberry you hate.. *trollface*
7. if you're always getting spawn camped either you or your squad is doing something wrong and as a result of your poor tactics you were spawn camped
interesting thread tho- epeen stroking and QQing at the same time, something we dont see every day |

If you mean spawning through an uplink, just dont spawn there and tell your squad not to do so either. (Includes CRUs)
If its in Skirmish, you've got to ask yourself how did they get you into that position in the first place. Bad tactics on your part or maybe they just play better. |
