Shamelessly stolen from MAG but I think its a great idea, Make CRU's like bunkers when you respawn you respawn inside the CRU and can choose where and when you get out of it to counter the guy who sits next to one shooting people as they spawn annoys me that you can die before you can control your character sometimes.
Also just to prove I have thought this out make it so once you leave a CRU you cant re-enter it to stop people from just hiding in an invulnerable position if they feel threatened, and make it so if you try just waiting in the CRU to ambush people you can only stay in it a set amount of time before being "ejected."
About people in CRU when it gets hacked by other team simple kill them and provide kill assist points for people who assist hacking this might help to encourage people to hack CRU's instead of circling it waiting to get cheap kills, I have seen a whole squad just sat camping round a CRU even though the enemy figured out what they were up to and stopped spawning there and yet they still refused to take it incase they missed killing another enemy, Naturally I hacked it to get them helping again and lets just say I am thankful FF is not on yet they were not amused.
If this has been suggested before I apologise I have done a quick search but nothing intensive if its impossible please disregard if you think its a good idea please promote it however thats done.

a suggestion to you... punctuation, its hard to tell exactly where each part starts and stops....
as for your idea [got it after a couple rereads] it isnt a horrible one, i'm just wondering where the pods we would pop out of come from |

I remember in older builds how the Gallente CRU had a visible "entrance" that nobody could walk into.
Spawn-camping is a big issue that is known, but if they can't fix the whole "exact spot" thing, then this is a good way to cut down on the issues involved therein. |

Reread his suggestion carefully. He has a solution to potential campers inside the CRU.

I'm all for this. As stated before, even if the devs can't get a solid fix on the spawn problem, this would certainly go a long way in helping the issue of spawn campers. |

I'm thinking that ejection would be automatic after the transfer/animation. I can't imagine there is a whole lot of extra room in the unit to hang around playing cards. It would be packed pretty tight with clones, required medical support machinery, and supply depot technology to equip each clone.
I picture a tiny bay that a stored clone is shuttled into and equipped. As a safety measure it would have a one way ejection mechanism. The access panels for loading and maintenance would be sealed before battlefield deployment.
Ejection would be automated so the bay would be available for the next spawn. |
