I'm pretty sure CCP has thought of this but if I'm wrong, I'd like to bring them up.
Different types of Nove Knives:
Nova Knife #1- Does moderate damage to both shields and armor. Has a wider spread than normal.
Nova Knife #2- Does high damage to shields, but less damage to armor.
Nova Knife #3- Does high damage to armor, but less damage to shields.
Nova Knife #4- Does a smaller amount of damage than other knives to both shields and armor but it's extremely fast in charging and attack.
I feel that it would greatly influence the knife aspect of the game o.o
I'd imagine heavies using #1. Heavies and logistics. They're slow moving and need something that'll have a wider spread with strength.
The rest of them would be on preference, save #4 which would solely be effective with scouts since they're the speedy type that can dodge bullets. It would probably take a militia scout 3-4 charges to kill a militia assault but the kill would come in probably a few seconds after the first charged up strike. |

I suggested racial variants elsewhere.
Keep them working from one skill but offer racial variants that vary slightly functionally.
I'd really love to see a Minmatar Scout sprinting across the battlefield wielding a Nova Tomahawk. |

nova sword . nova spear. but they both take a main weapon slot . but should be brutal like a breach shotgun . with no ammo limit . you want to melee you might as well do it right . and do it brutal |

Differing types of Nova Knife based on racial type would be a great addition to the game.

I would spend literally a million SP* on Nova Katanas.
*Not right away, of course, but y'know... eventually... That would just completely replace shotguns for me. |

Or for Heavy-suits ONLY... the two-handed Nova Axe.
Wide range, wide attack arc. EXTREME damage.
Blows up LAVS and Dropships with a single swing.
Would look especially sweet on proto-heavies... lol |

Nova Knives suck right now. They should at least give us the ability to knife people without charging even if its a weaker attack if done this way.
On topic:
Nova throwing knives/ninja stars! (hell make level 5 explosive)
Nova Sword (Variants: classic, machete, katana)
Nova Ax (Tomahawk, classic ax )
While we're at it, make Nova Blunt weapons too! |
