What weapon does everyone think has the biggest learning curve? I'm talking about a weapon that is absolutely worthless in the hands of someone with no experience using it, but is extremely deadly after TONS of practice- and I don't mean after tons of SP.
I think it would be the breach mass driver. Low splash damage and splash radius, short range firing arc, and low RoF. You have to hit someone directly to do real damage. However, when you DO hit someone directly, the damage is insane. |

I run a heavy with a Scrambler Pistol and SMG, like a boss I actually killed an HMG heavy at close range with my SMG, without getting the jump on him. I was literally laughing like crazy, I stomped those guys bad >_< You should've tried them last build- I use to use a scrambler as my logi's only weapon. Even had sidearm sharpshooter proficiency somethinorother. |

The sniper rifle is useless unless sleepy is holding it. The sniper rifle has a very high skill cieling imo. Not to mention all the snipers trying to shoot from the MCC means that blueberries don't normally hit reds often enough from the ground to notice that all of their shots aren't leaving the MCC. |

Maken Tosch wrote:I will put this debate to rest by stating that Nova Knives are the one set of weapons that have the steepest learning curve. I know from experience. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O4ruExpWeX7o6mvdItH-iGIkiqa3Qxf5kPNwEorHa4E/edit?usp=sharingNote: CCP stated they are planning on allowing nova knife users to sprint with the charge still on. In the meantime, you can do that now via a melee glitch which basically you immediately start and hold the charge while in the process of meleeing. It will stay charged no matter how many times you sprint and stop until you release it. This made me extremely aggressive. It allowed me to see how practical the knife can truly be if sprinting while charging was allowed. I would like to state that a noob with a breach MD with max skills and the best gear would get killed by a noob with nova knives, max skills, and the best gear.
By best gear, I ofc mean what is considered best for the playstyle. |

MD's have a bit of a curve, but are always effective.
my original thought (didn't think about NK) was the FG. FG's are fun, but MLT is slower than molasses, so if you miss, it's either swap to side, or give up, lol. I'm saying BREACH MDs- these things have next no no splash damage and a tiny splash radius. Only option is to try getting a direct hit. |
