Hey I'm new at this game and I'm kinda the bluest of the blueberry's so to say. So I'm doing this YouTube series called 'Tales of a blueberry and I was wounding if those interested could check it out and give me some advice on my gameplay etc. Or you could just watch and laugh at me failing :p Either one would be much appreciated:

Alright here it goes,
At 02:40sh into it, they had no place to spawn but the CRU you looked at then ran the other direction.
Watch for these things as you can farm kills from them.
More hip fire needed for closer ranges.
Tap R1 more then just spraying it while they're at a distance, unless using hip fire up close, it will allow for more bullets to hit.
Make sure your gun reloads properly after each reload, ie reload glitch, or at one time you started running before reload was complete.
Fit a armor rep on your suit, if you lose armor you no longer have a safety buffer for the next time you lose shields.
Watch the radar like a hawk, when people first spawn it will show on radar, also you know where the heat of the battle is via it.
Def getting better then your first vid, keep it up!

Do everything that NAME just posted, watched your first video "#2" last week and thought you are capable and definitely could be molded into a good merc.
There are good corps out there that their soul purpose is to teach players how to play Dust (i.e. Dust University) and I would imagine if you tape your progress of what you skill into that even ccp would be interested to see first hand how a merc grows.
What I tell all newberries is to read, read as much as you can in the menus and in these forums, training grounds and such.
Don't branch out and try to be a jack of all trades, you need to be specialized in your first role and not deviate from it too much. Find what you like to do and stick to it, be it a killer, a healer, or a dope dealer... I mean a tanker or anti-vehicle foot soldier.
If you want an easy fix to deal with the vehicles u see on the field skill into AV nades and those are easy to use with low skill points needed.
While in a game that gets the inevitable redline learn to drive, you only use one thumbstick the left to drive. Also learn the names of the different tanks, one race is shield and the othe is armor. Learn the names of the different classes, militia, STD, ADV and PROTO.
Again pay attention to your mini map like it was the rear view mirror on your care, check it all the time especially if you are hacking and running to an objective.
Squad up and turn on your Mic in squad chat! Earn WP to get the disco party you saw rain down! Ask questions and learn how to use squad leader! |
