I wanted to touch on two topics and offer some suggestions. The first is spawn trapping. It is not so much as spawn trapping cause I don't think it is intentionally done, however it is too easy to be killed as your spawning into a game. You can be shot and killed before the screen comes back. My suggestion would be some kind of spawn protection. A player can't be shot for a limited time, however this protection is removed once the player moves or the time is up. I got this from another game, some may know which one, and it seem so work.
I also read some of the future patches being introduce and as a pilot of a dropship I was concerned. The patch in particular is the on that follows:
[FEEDBACK] Infinite missile tracking - Currently missiles do have a max range and life time, there will be more tweaks for this.
Now if this is the case I think that dropships should come with a counter-measure that can avoid being hit all together. Obviously it will have a cool down timer. I also think there should be some kind of warning system when being lock onto. Even now with all the shield boosters it is hard to keep a dropship up. Especially when you have two or more people shooting at you with swarm launchers. I use every form of shield boosters and even added an engine to make avoiding those rockets possible. If they have infinite range and lifetime it will be impossible to keep a 1,000,000 Isk dropship from being destroyed. Thank you for hearing me out. |

given the current state of dropships, that would be bad. Infinite tracking missiles vs any aircraft would be bad.
Reason dropships suck is because forge guns and swarms are balanced around tanks, with all their armor and shields. But even worse than that, there's less cover in the sky. People tell tanks "you're bad, get behind cover". No such option will be available to a ds.
Especially if no chances are made to dropships at the same time |

Dropship feedback is good, I agree in all cases. Spawn defense is another beast altogether. I don't feel that spawn defense is at all the spirit of New Eden. In New Eden you aere welcomed with pain, nourished with destruction and schooled by death. A spawn shield would be very, very rude. |
