Isn't just propoganda so that they can push yet another glactic mind control technology like their formerly powerful Vitoc or Sansha's 'True Slave' tech? Who has confirmed the purity of these new clones?
::EDIT::I"m sure both Amarr and Mordu's legion have been searching for something that could rival Sansha's technology. ::EDIT:: A switch they could flip to suddenly have billions of loyal, deadly, planetary followers, along with political goodwill within Caldari State could mean that their empire could double overnight.
We should accept the supposed impurity of the original 514 clones, for now, and petition some more impartial and respected researchers, perhaps The Society, to look at what Amarr is creating.

Mordu is closely aligned with Amarr?
I thought he was a Caldari ex-pat with a lot of Intaki followers... |

What I mean is that their interests are closely aligned. |

Mordu's legion is the largest and most well respected mercenary organization in New Eden. Primarily, most of their contracting is done to the Caldari State, but they also take contracts from anyone within reason who's paying enough, as well as using their forces to further their own aims.
The organization was originally billed as a place for those outcast by their own societies with military experience to earn their keep. To this day it remains one of the largest recruiters of displaced or exiled former military personnel from across the cluster.
It shares pretty much no ideology with the Amarr Empire, other than the fact that on an individual basis, person to person, there may be a few people serving who still practice the Amarr faith while in employment with the Legion.

Thanks Falcon, that was my understanding, but I was thinking I'd missed something. |

Well you can't argue with the walking wiki CCP Falcon. Is it resolved that Heth really was the one who instigated the attack on his own people? Either way, I would feel more comfortable if Mordu's Legion is acting either out of financial or independant self interest here.
It's also looking like us Mercs will be advertising our services to a number of pirate groups, so fight well friends. |

According to "Templar One" you can pretty much believe in anything while in the Mordu's Legion ranks, but when you try to preach it, you can easily see an airlock from the outside, without a pressure suit. Mordu is after his own agenda and after ISK, so he's aligned with whatever suits him as far as I can tell... |

Really wish players could join Mordu's Legion instead of being obligated to be in a Player Corporation or a general Faction. |

If you realy want to RP, make corp named appropriately, and live it.
Probably many dust corps are living the ideas of the legion in being mercs with no strong identity to any faction.
You can't realy talk with NPCs anyway, like a real conversation like a person. So it definitely would add more to if being 'in' the legion to have it be a player run version.
The logo won't be as cool, but could be close. |

People weren't even mad at the guy, and he wasn't bugging people.
"Hey, you wunna maybe listen to me talk about my religion for a bit?"
"No."
"Okay, have a nice day. I think I'll ask that guy over there next. Hey-"
Then suddenly spaced.
Seems like you can't ever have nice things in New Eden. |

Problem with that is that, being in the space that they are, there's no real "protection" like the factions give in High-sec.
Edit: Not saying that as a carebear excuse, saying that as in a situation where you'd be like: "why the hell are these rats shooting at me instead of protecting me"
You'd have to have some seriously high numbers in your corporation/alliance (all with the same view, might I add) to defend against all of the other alliances in that area, which if I'm not mistaken is the Goonswarm turf. I say that loosely as, even though they're allied with a bunch of other entities they're all really just Goonswarm =P
Then you have to deal with the constant station games... The sovereignty non-sense... It's an endless list of "reasons why you can't do something because it's impractical"
That and the fact that, being an NPC group, they don't actually get contracts. So, you'd be a player-organized Mercenary entity that would have to compete with every other player-organized mercenary effort while having the added detriment of having to deal with borderworld politicking.
Way too much effort. |
