Starting after todayGÇÖs downtime you will find multiple contracts issued in the GÇ£MercenaryGÇ¥ tab of the battle finder between MorduGÇÖs Legion and Templaris Dragonaurs. The contracts will run until 18:00 GMT.

We're monitoring these battles as the "official" fighting on the planet. Depending on how the results pan out, we'll adjust the direction of the storyline accordingly. If the Templaris Dragonaurs (attackers) win overwhelmingly, there will be less surviving DUST mercs in the backstory, while if Mordu's Legion (defenders) wins, more will have survived.

There is no specific reward for this event, but there will be something in future events.

For this first run, we're limiting the event timers to make sure everything rolls out smoothly. We'll be setting up more in the future and will be sure to have greater timezone coverage.

What's the point if you can't pick a side to fight on?

Also, I joined a merc fight that was advertized as Temp.Drag. vs. Mordus Legion, but ended up as a Bragian Order vs Blood Raiders game. All in all very confusing. Is fighting Bragian Order helping Mordus Legion? Is this an error altogether?

having read the backstory, even though i'm caldari, i support mordu, heth is off his rocker(so to speak) and no longer has the states best interests at heart.
the quicker he is gone, the better
