In the spirit of this video, I'd like to come up with descriptions of scenes that fit the description of a "moment":
Quote:A [DUST 514] MOMENT /'ho-èli kr+ªp/ An unbelievable, intense moment of action involving daring feats, wicked stunts and of course: lots of explosions. To start, I'd like to brag with a nice scene from just yesterday: We were in a Skirmish battle, with three objectives and open terrain, good for vehicles (can't tell which map). Our team held the objectives and the others at bay. But occasionally, few of the other team would fetch an LAV and head for the best. Once, they did succeed and capture the farthest (least defended) objective - I made my long way by foot to get it back.
Half way to the objective, alone and on open terrain, I saw them driving back in my direction, taking the route on the road, which had a bend around a large rock. The driver was steering the speeding car quite well and after coming from around that rock, he spotted me and prepared for an easy road kill. Only with a standard militia suit, I'm an easy target for these things.
But my starter suit had a difference: A mass driver.
About 10 meters dead ahead of me, just one shot later, the motor block got acquainted with my grenade and the whole thing went up in a nice explosion. With the WP blinking up, I stepped out of the smoke and made my way.
Awesome.
(Yes, the LAV was already damaged, which is why I took my chance in engaging it ;)
So, what are your recent moments?

As a Logi, I got separated from my team( that sucks, I know) . So I was trying to regroup with my team when I got struck by a sniper bullet, destroying my shields. Quickly , I darted for cover and called in an LAV. however, at that moment, a Juggernaut came rampaging towards me. He got me down to a sliver of my armor. Just then, a friendly dropship managed to make its way towards my location, with all guns blazing. Right over my position, the dropship prepared to land (juggi still alive) when suddenly, the RDV that I had called in earlier arrived on the scene, crashed into the dropship, sending both aircraft plummeting towards the Juggie, and then explode. I looked at the killfeed.
4 friendlies and one enemy were dead. However, I noticed that a friendly survived the crash and quickly darted towards him. However the aforementioned sniper had picked him off, and just as I tried reviving him ( body bag!), I lost connection to the game. Oh well, most likely I would have been sniped by that dude. |

Went tank hunting with my FG. I was in a depression in a relatively open area when I finally got a bead on my target (a pair of militia tanks).
Charged up, poked my head just above the rise, and all hell brakes lose!
LV screams through the air due to an epic jump... thuwamp, triple kill, burrning wreck flys through me. Smoke clears and the bullets start flying at me... thuwamp double heavy HMG kill (taught them not to stick so close together). Armor hits 2... turn around and thuwamp, a once in a life time, across the map, "shoot in the general direction", sniper kill.
Finally! at 2 armor and shields just starting to creep back, I blap one tank (2shot) and hit the other once... twice...aaaand... click..
....click...clickclickclick..... AHHH out of ammo!!!
So there i am, stuck in the middle of no where, no ammo and with a very angry tank bearing down on me... I duck back, trying to preserve what time i had left, and i can hear the tank getting closer... closer... it drives past me, close enough for me to melee bash... and stops... just... just there....
Turret swings round and i peg it as fast as my fat little legs will run, just n just keeping out of reach...
And then the most astounding thing happens. The driver gets out. Pop. Right in front of me??? I was dumb founded. He promptly goes looking for me on the wrong side of the tank (He didn't see me?) giving me enough time to whip out my tiny... smg ... turn after him and empty the clip into the back of his head...
I promptly hack his tank, turn it round and shoot a Assault guy running up after us...

...wait is that real gameplay footage from BF3...!?!
Anyway, I was playing on a Skim Junction (3-node) map and the red-team had just taken the final objective inside the base with a tank and infantry support that they used first to cap the CRU, then fortify the middle of the base then return back out toward the CRU. My team didn't really mount much of an AV offense as their only spawn in, initialy was safe on the spawn in, but all the exits were guarded. The infantry support and blaster tank was too strong.
Well, I figured it wouldn't be long until they took the final objective and possibly redlined us, but I wanted to give hope to the team by taking out the tank. I spawned in with my remote explosive, shotgun/hacker logi, and snuck to the front of the base to hack the two blaster turrets guarding the entrance, to temporarily cut off their reinforcement from the rear. Then I dropped an uplink outside the base as the run from the MCC was just too stupidly far for most people, causing too many newberries to just give up and either lemming toward the turrets in LAVs or try and barrage the walls of the base with militia sniper rifles.
I get in the base and see that the tank and infantry support are finishing off the last formidable defense inside the base, but their backs are all to the entrance i just came in. I sneak behind the tank and drop 2 remote explosives behind its treads. Then I take cover and toss a flux grenade as the mass of reds surrounding it. Direct shield hit on the party!!! Because of the chaos they still didn't know I was there, and the tank was still not back far enough for a direct hit from the explosives. So in order to sacrifice my element of suprise, for what was left of my teams concentrated efforts I decided to lure the tank and anything else back over the explosives. I took cover and started noob spraying the tank and infantry support from a position that the tank turret could only get if he backed up.
And what do you know? He backed up with 3 other rifleman spraying at me. Thankfully their rounds finished off my armor right after I had time to switch to my detonator. I hugged the trigger to my chest as I watched the tank slowly roll over the explosives. As I was bleeding out I squeezed the trigger and took the tank down to critical/burn-out. I got 2 infantry kills, and the tank team sat in the tank long enough to die from the explosions of the tank burning out. It was enough to turn the game back into a fair game. |

My recent moment was when I had gotten killed by the same sniper over and over again, and finally seeing the trace from his location, sneaking up towards him but sniper by him when charging at him, only to try again and this time managing to sneak up and close emptying the AR clip and +50 points to me.
As a bonus I stayed at the spot and he tried to come back up the mountain for another gift of my AR. Was my best match to date (even with a 3/11 KD )

I got involved in a high speed car chase through the deserts of manus peak the other day. I was just about to jump in my lav when an enemy lav raced past, with an allied lav in hot pursuit, his gunner hammering away on the blaster. I joined them. It was fun. Then I crashed into a wall. |

I was running up some stairs when an enemy assault solder walked to the top of the stairs and started shooting at someone in the next building. Realizing that he had not seen me I put my Sniper rifle up to the side of his head and fired at point blank range.
It was one of my first kills. |

..Sniper here.. -Build has no secondary sidearm. -On rooftop above [C] in Skirmish picking people off. -Get snuck-up on by another sniper who shoots at me, hits me, but doesn't kill me. -I close scope, turn to find him and we proceed to have a Sniper shootout a point blank range for the next 3 minutes -multiple reloads [no nades] from both of us -take various melee swipes at each other and miss -shields recharged -all of a sudden he drops like a sack. -Friendly sniper on opposing roof had my back -unsure of how long he'd been witnessing this or been taking shots -just thankful he hit him -we exchange virtual acknowledgements (we stare at each other for about 30 seconds) -then continue to fight until I run out of ammo and need to jump and find resupply. |

I play logi and was following a gaggle of blue dots around just gaining points away when several people decide to take C on the industrial looking 5point.
The blues im keeping alive manage to all get dead and its just me my MD some nano hives and my trusty flux grenades.
They manage to hack the objective back as im unloading clip after clip into them jumping about sprinting punching doing everything in my power to kill them with out dying.
I manage to take out 6 of them with no support from my team who had decided to give up on C and take E then i rehack C and proceed to join up with the bluedots as if nothing had happend.
by the end of the game i was 29-3 with around 4k WP.

An enemy dropship had a group of us pinned behind cover at the redline where we respawned. Anyone that stepped out got a hail of bullets and either died or regretted the thought after getting back into cover.
But the dropship pilot was hovering quite slow and low, and he started to drift across my narrow field of view between a truck and its trailer. I raised my trusty sniper rifle, took quick but careful aim at the gunner, and put him down in one shot.
The now toothless dropship quickly bugged out, and blueberries spilled forth from cover. |
