Is the gek the new go to weapon cause i have been seeing it alot from dying by it to people dying in the kill feed to it. And do u think they should put drop suit hp and shields back to the way they where with the scaling based on suit lvl. |

Back in the days of Closed Beta, the dropsuits had escalating HP based on type. So the prototypes had more health than the advanced and so on. Problem with that is, it removed any chance for players with MLT or Type I gear to be effective. Then CCP drastically flat lined the HP comparisons from MLT to Proto.
As far as the GEK? It's good, but it's not the I win button. The players using the GEK with high success have very likely spent a lot of SP in their Assault Rifle. Light Weapon Upgrades is a must for the higher Meta weapons. It lowers the massive need of CPU to fitting. Then in turn allows you to fit better modules in other areas. Be warned, several deaths can lead to a loss of ISK. |

And i agree they should have a chance to fight against someone with a better suit but it should be a challenge. i don't agree with a proto having the same hp as a standard. even though it was done on the basis of fair but hey they put out more money for suits should they not get an increase in everything from slots to speed to hp and shields. As for the gek i know its a higher weapon but just a little annoying when everyone and there mom is using it but i think that is partially due to all the new players who are sticking to assault cause that is all they know. |

As far as the suits HP goes just think of it as if you spent all this time working your way into a prototype level suit you'd better have the skills to back it up. It'd would be pretty easy now with passive and just sitting in an MCC to reach proto level without actually having any skill. With the HP buff people used to wreck others for no other reason then they had that extra health. Someone skilled with proto gear will still be a challenge and wreck in pub matches now because they took the time to get good at the game.
For the GEK, it's just an assault weapon and flavor of the month. It'll go away eventually but AR users will always be around because the starter fits are purely assault suits, so people go for the assault weapon.

True but u would still pale in comparison to someone who has points in other skills like armor and shields aside from just suits and don't u think it would be nice to get something aside from the extra slots u are spending more money for the suit after all.
And your probably right on the gek being the flavor of the month. |

The suits should have very tiny eHP improvements as they scale up. Maybe 5 for advanced and 10 for proto. Low enough that it might as well not matter, but something that could provide a slight edge when combined with passive skills.
I understand CCP's decision in flattening the numbers, but a token improvement would be appreciated. |

GEKs were always very popular, especially when they were broken
And for the record, ARs weren't nerfed- a glitch was... combated (not exactly fixed yet), and iron sights were a bad but popular suggestion by the community. |

And your probably right on the gek being the flavor of the month. You do get something nice. More power to use to add on proto level modules and weapons. That's how the system works. Right now it's dumb to just build into suits because you'll be outclassed in every other aspect. So the game wants you to build up in multiple areas to reach an advanced level and the prototype level. With the extra HP you would get before it was actually better to just build up your suit as quickly as possible to get that HP bonus and still manage to hold your own against those who were just at the advanced level. By getting rid of the HP bonus now you have incentive to invest in many different skills instead of just going for the shiny proto level suit or gun, making gameplay fairly more balanced and longer lasting.
EDIT: Also, with the extra power you can just give your suit more health. I'm only at the advanced level but I have a logi suit with over 400 point of armor. |

In my opinion the ar in closed beta was hindered by the telescope of a sight ccp gave us which worked great for snipers bit a simple old fashion iron site is typically best for an ar.
Im a little skeptical on the gek being overpowered yes I lose most the time but most the time when I take my standard I dropsuit fitted with standard gear and standard ar up against the guy holding a gek I come within a single shot of winning the brawl many times my logi budy just comes in behind me after I die nail the gek once kills hom and revives me. If the gek is anything it is just a better gun that won through brute strength nothing else |

There are just alot of people playing Assault. Nothing OP or glitched about that.
Its variants are pretty much useless in comparison. Breach has a stupid short range, Tactical can not be tap fired as fast as it says it can, and the Burst is just outclassed in general by all the full autos. |

I think the increased power and CPU of the Advanced and Proto suits, along with their extra module slots provide plenty of room for raising your Shield and Armor on your own. CCP made a wise choice in leveling the stats within each suit class. Imagine increased HP and someone stacking high-level Armor and/or Shield modules. They'd be virtually indestructible to low and mid-level players.
Giving high-level suits the option to increase their HP or run with more tech is a fair game balance. |

Buff the assault rifles base stats for advanced and prototype weapons. Right now, there's no reason to go past AR Operation level 3. |

Right, because being able to shoot 10% straighter and having more damage is just useless. |
