Was wondering will DUST ever comes out with an item that has to pay by AURUM to skill reset your entire skill points back to the basic one? |

With all the problems CCP has had with the SP system in the past, even if they did have one of those, I'd never have the courage to use it, but more to the point:
1. Dust isn't the sort of game where you can only earn a certain amount of SP and then you're capped for the life of the character. To relate it to other MMOs, it's not as if you hit max level and can't accrue any more points to put into skills.
What this means is that if you want to put points into a different set of skills, you simply play the game for a little longer to do so. The fact that your character really never stops progressing is one of the things I (and many others) really like a lot about Dust--adding a feature that just lets you respec seems to make that sort of advancement irrelevant or at least much less meaningful.
2. EVE and, by extension, Dust are all about making choices and living with the consequences.
If you put all your points into a certain weapon and/or vehicle and you decide you don't like it 600k SP down the line, you're sort of stuck with that choice. The first level of almost all of the weapons only costs like 12k, which lets you get an idea of what any sort of weapon is going to play like, and what role on the battlefield it will serve. Worst case scenario is you grind SP for another couple weeks.
3. Many players would flock towards "Flavor of the Month".
There is always going to be a weapon or vehicle or something that is more powerful than the rest. If people can respec, many will simply grab whatever is overpowered that month and it will ruin the balance of the game. |

You can do this already ... and it's FREE !
Simply delete your character and re-roll a new one ... there you are reset back to the basic one. |
