Hello all!
I just got this game 4 days ago and I haven't really been struggling to get kills and maintain a decent kdr, but I cant help but feel lost when it comes to SP and fitting my class.
I chose enforcer and i LOVE assault rifles in this game. The Gek-38 assault rifle specifically. I'm just not sure whats going on with all these modules and stuff! im soo confused!
Also, if any corps are newbly friendly and would want to maybe meet up in-game and talk about it, I have a mic and would love any assistance.
Thanks guys,

As far as corps go, I don't think any of them are allowed to advertise here in the Training Grounds, so you'd have to meander on over to the Corporation Recruitment forum. There's tons of good ones, and most of them are new people friendly, a few people to hit up in game that can help you with questions and what not are Sentient Archon, pegasis prime, 0 Try Harder, Rugman91, and Shyeer (forget his last name, starts with an A, he's in dead six initiative). They're all really good people and super helpful, there are loads others, but these are specifically ones who I have sought out for help.
Also, check out Dust University, good place to start.
This thread here is incredible for just starting out.
Chankk's tips have been incredibly helpful as well.
Give those a read, I know it's tough to want to read something when you could be out slaying, but trust, it helps so much.
Oh and also, Welcome! :D |

For now if your not sure what weapon you want to specialize in you could focus on your core skills
These skills will improve every dropsuit and most vehicles if you choose to use them in the future
Get Circuitry up to 4 and combat engineering 4 these will increase your cpu and grid out put meaning you can fit more stuff Get field mechanics up to 4 or higher it will increase your armor hp Get Shield boosting to 4 because it decreases shield recharge time and more importantly get shield boosting to 4 so you can get shield control which increases your shield hp. Profile dampening and Dropsuit command allow you to conduct sneaky sneaky much more easily. And hacking lets you hack stuff quicker useful for any one who play skirmish, less time hacking more time shooting.
Then Id say pick a weapon favorite and a play style you prefer and focus on skills that support it.

My standard recommendation is the Weapons skill, since it gives you extra damage per level and gets you access to damage mods, basically letting you kill anything in your sights.
It's a wonderful feeling, watching that healthbar go down |

Its important that you dont do all of these skills FIRST, yes you will need them but you will want to get your weaponary skills upto scratch to begin with.

I'd add in weapon reload and capacity to reduce out time from shooting. Many times have I won a 1 on 1 because my mag didn't run out first or I got a fresh one in faster. Plus these transfer to all weapons within that class so more universal. |
