Tell me have you ever used the LR yourself? If you had you would be aware that one of the most effective tactics for the LR which is atrocious at short range, is to find a high spot and shoot at any enemy's he can see. By doing the LR player makes it difficult for the enemy team to move around without taking damage and gives his team a big advantage, plus said LR tends to rack up the kills

lasers r good. but they are not some "cheating" weapon. they are terrible at close range. also saying u never used them confirms how little you know about these "cheating" weapons.

course you can't run from laser's, they travel at the speed of light. Besides you can't declare something OP just cause some guy wen t 20-0 with it. If that's the case what about all the AR guys who get that kind of score, are they using a "cheating" weapon as well?

it's called flanking them look it up. u know what u do to kill someone effectively.

Did those videos show how horribly you die if you get caught out of position by even a scout suit with the least HP, i have been melee'd to death by scrambler pistols due to the lack of damage LR get at close range, LR's dominate because they find a good position and make good use of it, if the enemy has an LR set up you either get in close or you get a sniper to deal with it, you don't play a game of whack-a-mole with them, because that's what normally happens when newberries go up against LR's.

When I use my lasers, I am at the tail end of most weapons max range, this happens to be the most effective range for a laser. So anyone who uses lasers properly may not die much and can get a lot of kills. If you would have gotten closer it would have been much harder for the LR. Also, upgrade your sharpshooter operation and you can at least force them into cover. I use LR it certain maps and scenarios, and I have my Light Sharpshooter skill up, so if you are 60-80m from me then, get cover. If you are within 30m, you probably have the upper hand against my LR, since it is much less effective and hard to aim up close.

The laser rifle is not overpowered, it just has advantages and disadvantages that are not immediately obvious.

Lasers are actually on the underpowered side of things. All you need to do to deal with them is make intelligent use of sight lines to get into your weapon's optimal range. I realize that is asking a lot of the cowadootie kids.
Lasers lose any fight in which you are at optimal. Literally every weapon in the game trumps them. If you are aware of where they are shooting from there is nothing they can do to kill you - unless you make a mistake and leave yourself exposed.

Assault rifles are still disgustingly OP and probably always will be.

You're confusing correlation with causation.

Lasers are effective against stupid people who zerg around like idiots. They punish play mistakes. Don't make play mistakes and you'll never get killed by a laser, because the warmup time on the beam is longer than it takes to get into cover.

There's also the little fact that lasers have some of the worst scaling across tech levels in the entire game. Good luck killing anyone in a well fit proto suit with one.

If you make the mistake of running to a different location without enough cover to survive on the way, yes you deserve to die.

Maybe you should learn about the game mechanics before whining about what's OP and what's not.

I like to eat lasers for breakfast. Try using a mass driver next time bro. More than able to throw off their aim, and is a great weapon if you use it properly.

On a side note OP, you sound like you have a severe case of butthurt, and you should probably go see a doctor about it. While you;re there though, you might want to check and see if you have a concussion, because the only way you could be this stupid was to have hit your head VERY hard, and then drank a bottle of vodka.
