It's only good for movement, but anytime you go up against someone who can aim you get wasted because of the low armor. So what's the point of it then if you can't survive battle? Please explain this to me someone. |

Wait what? The scout suit is only good at Movement?
And you don't want to AVOID enemy fire? You want to...absorb it?
Do I have this right so far?
Use a fat suit sir.
The thing I am loving about dust is how the whole game changes every time I get into a new suit or vehicle.
You never hear people bitching in real life about stuff being OP
People just take advantage of what they have.

Scout suit is great. It has an INSANE shield regeneration. It's not as good at open field fighting but if you can dip behind cover a lot, you can pretty much stay at full health whenever you get shot, giving you a huge advantage over someone else.
They also have a larger scan radius and bettter precsision than other suits, which makes them better suited to revealing enemy positions nearby. |

eventually you will get hit, game has no recoil and very high mag capacities.
Get into politics, you'll see the UN puts sanctions on countries to keep them calm because they are "OP" (are a great threat to millions). |

Also note scout suits scan profile is lubriciously low.
If you ever got someone shotgun you back of your head and never saw him on the mini-map that is why. |

I see people faster than they see me on a map, I can run circles around Heavys, I have lots of stamina for running around/jumping, and it's possible for me to regen shields in the middle of a fight. |

Duhh Only reason you see good players with scout suits other then sniping is because they are fast and use of shotguns. So if you can't survive with one, then try another dropsuit. |

Scouts need something to really let it stand out from other suits other than being run away. I've said it constantly to buff the Scan Profile with 5-10 less points and/or increase the accuracy of it's "radar".
Assault has all around adaptability
Logi has high CPU/PG as well as many equipment slots.
Heavy has high HP along with access to special weaponry
Scout has a large stamina pool |

Oh yeah right last time i remembered the scout suit can be abused in laggy matches to sponge tons of bullets. I know it cause i had to chase omnipotent zitro for 30 secs around a hacking console after i hit him with a grenade in the face. |

I thought the point of a scout suit was not to be seen or shot? if your using a scout suit then you should either be hugging cover and using stealth tactics, or sniping from out of their range, Thats the trade of for the suit, it's light and agile but it's not gonna take to many hits before you become religious |

I find scout one of the most versatile suits in the game probably. Sure, not good for frontline, but I have fittings for literally anything else from hacking to silent assassinations to running around as a medic and repping people. |

Then throw a dampener on there, there isn't such thing as a suit that is inherently amazing at one aspect without any relevant modules fitted. |

@Felix
You need to be informed that the scout is much more effective than you make it out to be. I have been using nothing but the scout suit for practically two whole builds and I have become extremely efficient at using it. Sneaking in and planting uplinks, flanking assaults and logi groups, etc. you are correct to assume that its speed is its greatest advantage. But it also has superior profile radius and greater scan precision than other suits. And as others pointed out it has effective shield regeneration along with a more efficient use of its stamina.
Combine all of these factors and you end up with a suit that practically doesn't need much in terms of defenses. It's also perfect for stabbing people with a knife. |
