As I see it, it goes:
Heavy -> Assault
Assault -> Sniper
Sniper -> Heavy
Medic goes and heals them all.
So why are there so few Medics?!
Care to check my math?

I've killed a few Heavies as an Assault, and rarely have a good enough view to take one with a Sniper. Also, I tend to kill more Snipers and Assaults as a Sniper than I do anything else. As an Assault, I kill more Assaults and Logis than anything else, but occasionally kill a Sniper or Heavy.
Math checked.
..for me anyway.
I play Logi a bit, and see some out there. Nanite Injectors are terrible, but not because of the Nanite Injectors. Nobody sticks around long enough to revive even when I am standing next to them with it in hand. I honestly imagine I could wave it in front of their FoV as they went down and they still hit O immediately.
My repair tool is kind of pitiful; I have no skills. I mostly just drop Nanohives and Drop uplinks and then find another suit; preferably by means of a supply depot.

It's much more complicated than that- for example: Non-medic logi > heavy Shotgun scout > sniper Assault (with brain cells) > non-medic logi
etc. |

You run with the wrong crowd.
My normal squad of three can run as three Heavies, one or two Heavies and a Logi Bro, as well as a HAV driver with two gunners one of which will normally be a Logi Bro.
Also, when running solo I will normally run Logi Bro. Once I start reviving and healing the Blues start in as well. I don't know if it because I climb the leader board without killing or they finally get the connection between the clone count and the Logi Bro.
In the beginning of a match it is common for me to be the only Blue Logi Bro. By the middle there is usually at least three or four.

Here's why I gave up on being a medic/logistics: -The lack of teamwork I find in public games. Medic's are pointless if they spawn by themselves and have to spend half the game looking for someone to heal. -Too many people will run/sprint away from you while you're trying to heal them and often end up luring you out into the open. Sniper bait, anyone? Bueller? -Players manually respawning just as I get there to revive them or enemy players camping downed players and piling five grenades on their body right as I get to it. -My good Logistics fitting costs me about 16k per life and most of my enemies use free/militia equipment and are still able to overpower my twin shield extenders and supposedly "better" rifle. My not as good fitting is free, but doesn't have a drop uplink and I suck with any non-burst assault rifles. -I find that I make a bigger difference doing something else like shooting back and making sure there isn't anyone left to kill my allies. I've made the top five on my team in a lot of games just by dropping one tank at the start of a game and then going anti-vehicle the rest of the game and killing people with my SMG.
I'm pretty sure a lot of medic/logistics players share at least a few of those with me, they just have more patience than I do when it comes to these factors. |

Ya I believe that they should make out so that mechanics and logistics have a more important role. |

You ever play one, its a full time job to try to rev and keep everyone alive, and get kills with assault rifle or shotgun.
Literally no one else does it, or has equipment to rev and heal.
I can use millita and BPO everything, and get second place on WP's, cost 0 isk. |

Logi playing a more important role? My Logi fit does: Hacks faster, has a drop uplink, repair tool,nano injector and destroys shields. So basically a combat multiplier.
I run pretty much only Logi. I am at the top of the leader boards in every game cause I am Logi. If you think Logi doesn't have a large enough role you are seriously underestimate the Logi. Also they can turn the tide of a fight if they are good enough.
Though this is more of a complaint to the members of the Dust community, you need to realize most fps players don't go medic cause they think kills are more important. No real change can be made to make people play Logi.
So all in all if you want a Logi, find a Logi to friend and run with them. |

I usually play as a medic. But I have a custom class with a laser rifle so I can usually fight back. If someone dies when I'm trying to get to them. Screw it its there own fault they were dumb enough to press right when I get there. Though I usually legitimately die when medica come to me so I'm just unlucky ^^" |

Not as many medics or support suits since it's not a glamorous life. Even though I can get 1400+ WP in a good match, going 3-5 kills with anywhere from 1 to 8 deaths, since my K/D ratio is in the "noob" category CoD kiddies don't want to bother with it. Completely different way of playing compared to the Halo's, Killzones, and CoD's. This is one of the factors that initially attracted me to DUST. I don't have to be a twitch player to still get a good score while helping my team. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing Unreal and other fast paced shooters, I just love the fact that I have other options here. Repair, Replenish, Revive! |

it's also the reason that Dust draws in the BF crowd, i can rez and heal all day. It's far more hazardest to do the work, but it's far more rewarding as well. CCP needs to hammer in the COD crowd that K/D means nothing if you keep losing. |

And this is why we love Logi =)
I do admit that sometimes I get a little frustrated when people respawn just as I get to them to revive them ... But at least I bring people back, and keep whoever I can alive. I'm enjoying this underused role immensely |

I think a simple way to fix the instant spawning thing is to just make it similar to battlefields revive mechanic. If the player hits re-spawn simply make it so that the deterioration of their body is delayed unless destroyed by explosions or they actually are spawning in/bleed out at that moment.

Since everyone just hits respawn once they die most of the time, there needs to be some sport of consequence larger than just losing items. Perhaps a longer respawn time or they can only bleed out out something. |

If I had 2 equipment slots, I would carry a medkit.
At this stage I am totally dependant on nanohivies cause I normally run out of ammo after a couple of minutes. |
