If you get the playstation network app installed, and have it set to keep you logged in. And then use aHomeIcon, to create a URL with a custom app picture. You can save it on the home screen.
1 button press and you logged in to the forum or whatever you select for you hyperlink to take you too. The Vita app, will probably be just this but to a link of dust 514 stat centre. Or an equilivant to Call Of Duty's Elite. You could just make an app with all the official art work, and maps to the levels, but it cost -ú50 to release it on the App Store. It's easy enough to do. |

The vita app will allow you to read mail. Chat. Sell and buy on market. Manage skills. Manage fittings ect.
With the api released this will unlikely give similar functions of changing stuff in game and rather viewing stuff in game. Ie market transactions, wallet, skills ect. If its similar to the eve online apps anyway |

An Iphone (and Android) App would be lovely, even if it was at its most basic a stat viewer or some such.
The last Ghost Recon Game had an app where you could change fittings of weapon attachments for your online character called gunsmith, it seemed very good although i only tinkered as never played online due to having a borrowed copy of the game (it wasnt worth -ú40).
In an ideal world an App companion for dust would provide access to:
Skill/Character sheet
Fittings
Market
Chat
Stats
As unlikely as that is to happen we can hope, I would also consider paying actual real money for such an App if dev costs demanded (not a lot of money but a token couple of pounds would be more than acceptable)
I dont know anybody that owns a Vita and have no intention of getting one so have no clue what that companion is all about. |
