Imperfects are really skilled at this game, they would have you think they are just inherently better than you.

Just take a look at the leaderboards, they own about 5-10% of the top 1,000 players, and all of the big names have put in 100's or 1000's of hours of gameplay in the closed beta. They had the same top slots in the closed beta, it's pretty clear the people who play the most tend to be the best.
Obviously there is no fault in that, it's an amazing game and I play it as much as I can personally, you just have to understand the game rewards you with more skills, isk, and actual player developed skill by playing the game more than other people. It's not a fair competition if you can't put in the same amount of time, and it was never meant to be.
There is nothing about the Imperfects that make them unbeatable. Their current dominance is because they were the most set up and skilled Corporation for the closed beta. They understood how the game worked and used the best tactics to win (dropships FTW). They won the Tournament, and naturally attracted the attention of anyone who wanted to play for the best Corporation. That let them recruit the prime talent.
Now that they lost their first Corporation match to Pink Fluffy Bounty Hunters, and it's finally proven they are not the Immortals everyone (and themselves although I think mostly ironically) had painted them to be I hope we see other groups attract more attention.

Just remember newberries you playing a squad of Imperfects is like a middle school basketballer taking on Micheal Jordan. It's just not going to be sporty, don't feel bad though you were playing ******* Micheal Jordan. As you get your skills up and learn how the game works, well you will still lose. It won't be quite as bad though, maybe like playing Shaq.
If you want to get as good as them you have to start somewhere, they already have 10-100x the game experience on you and probably know the gear and can use and afford better stuff than you. If you can't handle that then it's not the game for you. If that makes you want to get better, then start putting in the time and learn the game mechanics and systems. One of the best things you can do to learn how to be better is observe how better players are killing you, or managing their presence on the battlefield. |

you can only stack squads by joining the que at the same exact moment but this has the flip side effect that two squads of the same corp can be on opposite sides. |

I'm not sure about any other corp but when my corp joins a match and we see squads like IMPSwarm, Imperfects, Zion, and a host of others, we are happy about it. The only true test of measure for yourself or your corp is to play against the better corps out there. I'm sure almost any corp will agree that seeing a board full of player corps is better than seeing a board of NPC corps. Nothing wrong with players in NPC corps, just you guys generally aren't on comms and blueberries have a tendency to make life a little more difficult for player corps.
Tell you another thing, I might get pissed off when I'm taken out repeatedly by players of some of the better corps, but I respect them because they play the way our corp plays. They don't redline, they PTFO, and they try to make every shot count.. I don't view most of the guys/gals in these corps to be just trying to pad their stats.
Make no mistake OP, these corps are not unbeatable, the difference between success and failure often comes down to a coordinated effort to win the match. Not just run around trying to improve your stats. It also helps to use comms. Many of us player corps find it pretty annoying when we have a plan of attack and you blueberries seem to be doing everything in your power to work against us.
So Imperfects, just keep on doing what it is that you are doing. You can't sit at the top forever, but you might as well enjoy it while you can and there is nothing wrong being at the top. This all comes down to someone isn't happy because he pad stats or doesn't have the ammount of time needed to play, to at least cap, everyday so his skills are lacking when compared to those who play all the time. |
