See title. *grumble*
I have no problem waiting an extra 20 seconds in the Battle Finder window to join a game that is actually just starting or, better yet, still in deployment. |

It's even worse when they throw you into a game with 2 minutes left ... and your team is losing.
But I guess this is a mechanic of most, if not all FPS games ... CoD, Battlefield and even the new Crysis 3 have the same ''issue'' |

Yeah, but at least BF3 has a server browser. Not that that has anything to do with when games end, but it's a nice feature. |

I swear, sometimes it feels like the pregame lobby is a bonus stage that I only get to visit once every five stages. |

This is definitely a problem. It's a big time waster and (for those who care about stats) detrimental to leaderboards. |

Press the PS3 Menu Button to enter NeoCom. Select the top of that menu. Its drop down will give you the option to Leave Battle. Select it. You will Leave The Battle. Wait one minute. Or two. Initiate another Battle. Loop until you start the battle in the beginning.
Oh, I'm so tired now. That was hard. |

At what point did I state that wasn't what I was doing? Maybe, before you employ sarcasm, you should practice reading for understanding. The topic of the thread is that time is wasted being thrown into matches that are almost over. You leave the match and re-queue, several minutes are still being wasted. Instead, the game could keep you waiting a few additional seconds for a fresh match to become available. |

I avoid doing this because I can't figure out if it affects W/L ratio. I just spawn in the MCC (or the farthest corner of the map) and run around in circles. Anyone know? |

Not to mention, I don't know how in-depth Dust 514's player stats will eventually become, but I know that Battlefield 3 keeps track of the percentage of matches you quit before they end and displays it on your public profile. |

The Mercenary window? All I see is the Taipei Game Show matches, and they're almost always full- not to mention they're all Ambush matches. Perhaps people in different Corporations see different items in this window. |

joined a "instant" battle finder skirmish. 20 seconds left. my team was loosing. we lost.
I don't mind the extra: 4k skill points or the 4k ISK or so...
what I'd totally hate, if this were to start happening, would be for this defeat to count on my records. I'd rather you keep the small bonuses from "time spent" and not have a loss that I wasn't able to help create |

Nope, all I get are Tapei Game Shows as well ... and my Corp page is usually empty. However if you check the Merc page often enough you'll find games that aren't started and you can jump in the open slots. Biggest I've seen so far is 4 of those Game Shows in Pending Mode and waiting on players to join in |

Unless I"m really in a rush I simply won't deploy into matches that are already started. The solution may not work for everyone but it works for me.

@Thrain, I don't mind the extra ISK & SP either, but for some reason I hit the SP cap yesterday without even earning 10,000 SP.
@Cross, is there a way to choose to launch into matches that are still pending besides the Taipei Game Show Ambush matches? Are there matches happening in the Corporation window that just aren't happening on my Corp (ever)? hah |
