Maybe it's just me and I haven't noticed it yet. But we know that DUST 514 is interactive with EVE Online players. Set in a world where war is commonplace over territory and resources. As a DUST Mercenary, we are hired and fight for the powers of New Eden ... and yet somehow we don't see the results of our labors.
Again, this is only something I may not have noticed yet, but it would be nice to see the impact the ground engagements are having on the war for New Eden. Like for example, a faction within the Amarr Empire want to claim a section controlled by the Minmatar. Both races hire a squad of merc to protect/take that section of land or space. After the battle, there's naturally a victor, and it would be interesting to see the results of that victory/loss.
Also. It would add a lot more of a dynamic to the gameplay, if players could select the missions they go on. As a Galliente Intaki, it would be alot more fun if I could choose battles that pertain to the interests of my Race. Better still would be missions that are requested directly of our Corporations. And all of this would impact how New Eden evolves. It will impact who becomes the new economic power, dictate it's new leader. And that would be constantly changing depending on the results of the ground engagements and the ... whatever it is players do on EVE Online. |
