Pub stomping in general isn't hard, with squad or without. Most of the playerbase can hardly aim, let alone strafe AND aim. I've been running off solo and away from groups, getting outnumbered and all I have to do is strafe and shoot and I'll win. I've been playing like an idiot, reloading at the worst times, going lone wolf, crossing open areas, just not playing smart in general.. and I've still been able to maintain a ~12.0 KDR this week. Sadly I started off not so well so overall it's ~5.5 and going up .2+ a day at this rate :)
Not that big of a feat, protoman has a 10.0+ I think & I know a handful of others who are also infantry only and have better KDR than me.
& like I said.. I run off solo often, even if I have corp mates in my match it's likely I'm not close enough for them to cover me or save me very often.
This game is so hard...
Pub stats aren't worth much though IMO, corp battles is where it's at.
I feel your pain though with randoms, I have it happen as well.. they'll be within hugging distance of a guy that took me out from behind and it'll take them a good 5 seconds to even start shooting him. Lol. At least if you have bad teammates you don't have much competition for kills, sometimes my KDR suffers when with a solid group because I end up having to suicide for kills.. often times strafing out in the open next to the redline trying to beat the others to kills. Not a nice thing for KDR when sniping is so easy and often resorted to when pushed back that far, I'd much rather be in a complex killing them so snipers can't get me >.<
Good job on the KDR though.
So.. how about that there, old fashioned? |

It's the same with or without a squad. I pull the same numbers either way.
Squads are suppose to keep together - when you're solo you'll learn how far a distance from others is considered safe. If you play well and keep to your team and look at your map often enough you'll destroy. If you know the terrain from half a year to a year of playing... you'll destroy even harder knowing probable chances of where to expect tangos.

We're discussing the worthlessness of running squads now. You don't need the back up when everything in front of you rolls over when you touch it. lol |

Teams have never really mattered much. Most of the good players have been putting up the same scores since last march. The general playerbase however is comprised of the absolute worst i've ever seen on the playstation. |

Teams absolutely matter. If not Why do the imperfects recruit from other corps? They took 3 from STB. Imperfects always run in squads. When you run in squads it clearly stacks your K/d in your favor. There is a much better chance your coming out on top when its 4 vs 1 or 2 then 1 v 1. Alot of people think imperfects are better than they are. No doubt they are good players but when you recruit off the leader boards, run with the good players "so you don't actually have to fight them", and wear the best money can buy, you appear to be better than others. |

So recruit all outside competition to become the only competition? That's dirty.
Or maybe people just want to be an Imperfect, with their reputation it's only natural people will be attracted to them over other corps. |

Funny, I thought it was a 16v16 game. Didn't realize my team vanishes as I play. Even if they suck they're still fodder you need to aim at - and with my HMG I'll mow your squad down before you realize that blue berry wasn't your concern. |

LETS NOT GET **** TWISTED
I'm going to set the record straight. The imperfects didn't take 3 STB. The players that joined from STB came, because they didn't like what was going on in STB, and realized that QG (god bless his soul) is a bit crazy. I was invited to the private trials of this beta by sony back in march. Teams have never mattered. Myself along with many others have consistently been able to drop 40+ kills every build regardless of how CCP chooses to nerf us.
The general playerbase for DUST514 has always been complete trash and very well might be the worst the playstation has to offer. The imperfects have never recruited off the leaderboard. However most of us have held the top spots back when this game used to be fun to play, before CCP nerfed the game to hell. The only reason as to why most of us group up is, because it's the only way to make the game fun to play.
People use their best gear, because they aren't completely ******** and play like **** every game. It' actually pays to be this good. |

I always say there isn't enough kills to go around, why I just have myself and 1 other in squad 99% of the time.

IKR more than half of Doug Ugly kills are kills that belong to me and my MD, freaking biggest kill jacker in the game and dont even get me started on ZItro he stills half my kills every time.
Oh and that Zan character worst of them all, waits for me to engage toss my flux and then oh wait Sleepy Zan(charged sniper rifle).. sigh.
/sarcasm in case you can't tell.
Obviously good players in a squad do well but more often than not do worse than solo since they have to compete for kills, where as solo you just need meatshields to keep you alive and your superior gun game to slaughter all with impunity. |

lol when playing full imperfect squad I switch out of my MD fit for LR fit so I can steal the kills.
Cuz with MD flux grenade, kill stolen, MD to armor, kill stolen.
