Any suggestions on how to play with more than just your squad? As a corporation we haven't quite figured out how to get together when more than 4 of us are on at the same time. Also not quite sure how corporation battles are set up, will the server set you up with other corporations looking for them, or do you have to manually set it up with the opposition?
On the same note, when you have a UVT and you use it in the corp chat room, does everybody have to own one to be able to talk or is one enough for everybody in the room? |

Unfortunately, your best bet for playing with more than a squad of corpmates is the good old fashioned "queue sync." Get into a chat with the other squad leader and attempt to launch at or near the same time via countdown into the same battle queue. In the future I expect CCP will allow for large scale corp launches, but as of this version 4 man with occasional queue sync success is it.
Everyone needs a UVT to talk in corp chat at this juncture. |

Good to know. I better get to buying one or ten. Any insight into how the corp battles work; are we even able to do them right now?
Speaking of queue sync, last night we did that, we had 2 squads of corp members deploying. we had a guy in each squad who live together, so we ended up getting into a game together, but on separate teams. It made for some funny dialogue between them. I have a feeling that makes it easier to get into games together. |

Yeah, the corp battles are started by accepting a contract from one of the four factions. Open your neocom, scroll to "my corporation" and you should see a tab "corp contracts" (only accessible by the CEO and directors). You can sort by faction or look at all simultaneously, but only a few contracts will ever show at one time so you have to keep refreshing if you want to see more. Choose an amount of money you find acceptable to wager (square button opens the filter) and accept a contract at that amount at the specified GMT. You can check the status of the contract leading up to launch by opening the battle finder and tabbing over to "corp contracts." If an opponent accepts (or you accept theirs) then you have to be ready to deploy into the match when the status changes at the scheduled time to the "NOW" status. You'll deploy into the warbarge for ten minutes and then into the battle. During these corp matches you can use an EVE contact to supply your orbital strikes instead of using the warbarge's. Should you win, you'll receive your money back as well as 90% of the amount put up by the opposition (the remaining 10% is taken by the faction issuing the contract). Good luck! |

With the corp battles, do you need to field a full team or will people queuing fill the empty slots? |

You need a full team. You can have a collection of people from different corps in your squad, but if you're alone and jump in then you'll be fighting 1 v 8 (unless the other corp had a similar idea). |

That's not ture, my first contract was a 2v2.
I just assumed the system automatically matched you up with a corporation of similar size?
Edit: Did I luck out or something? |

You lucked out. It doesn't match you at all. Any corp can accept a contract that you have accepted. Their is no matchmaking. If no one accepts you get your money back and the contract expires (or goes into mercenary contracts). You, likewise, can accept contracts that have already been accepted by other corps. Going in with 2 is risky because a lot of the more established clans will show with 8. If you accept a contract and don't show, but an opponent does then you've given them free money. |
