Gonna be blunt, these new AR sounds are utter garbage, they do not sound like i'm wielding a proper weapon.
Please revert them back, even the last ones weren't as bad as these. |

I strongly disagree. The old ones lacked "punch", the new ones sound meaty and satisfying, at least when you get to actually hear them. |

Are you serious? The new sounds (As in the ones put in today) sound like we're firing a slower SMG. They're also so quiet, before I could hear when somebody has opened fire at me, now it's pretty difficult to hear (That's me with a turtlebeach headset with the TV sound coming out from it, I can usually hear everything great) |

Disagree strongly. The old one sounded like an asthmatic spitting contest. The new one sounds quite a bit better, but still lacks the sharpness and oomph I expect from an AR. |

Can I ask how you guys are listening to the sounds? Headset (if so what kind?) or TV, that sort of thing. On my turtlebeach headset they sound awful, it sounds like I'm firing a slowpaced SMG with no oomph whatsoever. Previous sounds were great because they sounded like they were firing with force (Although others said all they heard was a taptaptap) |

I'm not a big fan of the new AR sound, but it's MUCH better than the old sound. |

To me, it sounds like the gun on the back of the Militia LAV. Just a little slower with some more 'impact (SEE WHAT I DID THAR!? :)). But it does have a punch, now. Just needs a little more work.
The sound is growing on me. I found it weird in the beginning, but now I'm liking it more.
Using 5.1 sound, currently. Since you asked. |

the new sound patch broke pretty much everything. the only sound I hear now is my own weapon, everything else is as quite as ninjas. |

@OP. I totally agree with ya. The new AR sounds like an Uzi, not a high-tech weapon at all. I actually thought the old sound fit the weapon and the setting of the game.
All the other sounds are good imho, just need their falloff distances or volume increased so we can hear them from more than two meters away. |

I like the new sounds (a bit) AR sounds slightly muffled, not sure about the boring shotgun sound though |

I love it. After more than half a year of people trying and failing to petition CCP into doing stuff with petition threads, people are still trying to do it. Ahhhhh.... brings back memories....
x'D
Seriously, if you want something done, don't write a petition thread. They accomplish nothing. Write a normal QQ thread just like everyone else and be done with it, because a petition thread is nothing more than a QQ thread with a higher opinion of itself.. |

I like the new AR sounds much better. I use PS3 wireless headset and the sounds are a lot better to my old hairy ears. Also meatier. |

Me too, i don't like the new one, because, since yersterday, each time i've used AR, i've believe i play with a "kid toy" who shoot bubbles
And i've some sounds bugs, with sometimes no sounds or a gap between the time i've used the weapon (shoot, reload...) and the sound of this weapon.
PS : but i love the new reload of SMG, i really love it this iron sounds !!! |

The new one sounds like a gun from an old 8 bit console game.
Maybe its sounded too much like a projectile assault rifle and they want the old sound for the minmatar.
Either way new assault rifle sound is terribad. |

I love the new noise, its set with the technology of blasters a bit, I haven't had a chance to test the shotgun out. The SMG sounds much better as well no longer a bb gun similar to the awful one that doom 3 had.
Flux nades as well advertise much differently than thier predecessor of no noise almost.
