I remember the older builds where when your squad earned enough WP's a decently sized message would appear on yours and your squaddies screen informing you that an Orbital was available. I heard from someone that their is a message in the top right telling you the same but to tell you the truth I have never seen it. The only way I have ever known that I have one is if I go through the menu's and try to call one down just to see if one is there.
Maybe have a modified flashing caution/hazard like symbol similar to THIS SIGN but with some sort of beam from the top heading downwards to some planet like sphere located in the lower left area near the shield and armor indicators. I think that would be a good location because a lot of players already monitor that area regularly.
Thoughts, suggestions? |

I don't know exactly what form I'd like to see it take, but I agree, a more noticable initial notification, and a permanent marker on the screen showing that you have an orbital strike available would be tres cool.
I feel like I miss the damned things all the time when I'm squad leader. Fortunately I have buddies who are attentive, and will let whoever's SL know the notification popped up.

This is also a +1 for me.. Alot of the new players never even use thier orbitals because they don't realize they have one. Sometimes after a match I realize I had an orbital and a half and never saw the notification.... A triumphant horn sound or something would suffice but the way it is now you might as well remove it 9 out of 10 times we don't see it.... Hope this post gets some more action!! |
