Can anyone explain corp battles to me and also what are the rewards if its a win or what do you loss? |

You battle another corp. Sometimes the maps are different from how they are in pub matches. If you win the match, you get the $ the other corp put up for the contract. There are no other additional sp/isk rewards. The isk awarded from the contract gets put into the corp wallet.
edit: if you lose, you lose the money you put up for the contract. |

What about loot tables? Do you get salvage from them, do they seem to be about the same? My theory on corp battles atm is they are a way to amp up the risk so players bring better stuff, which directly increases the loot table. |

No salvage. It's to prevent corps from just farming stuff by themselves.
edit: corp battles do affect fac war in Eve. The side that wins apparently gains a slight advantage in fac war or something. Dust mercs don't get anything from fac war, so I don't know anything more than that.
Basically, corp battles probably make both sides lose money. If you're in a good corp you can make some money by staying ISK efficient. Eventually we'll be able to merc for Eve players and make money, but right now there's almost no ISK, SP, or loot incentive. |
