As a pilot in Dust 514 I feel the need that the developers should add blueprints for every dropship available. Most of the time I pay about 150,000 + isk for a Militia Viper Dropship every match and to be honest it's quite annoying that I have to keep on paying for dropships. No, this is a stupid idea, but before I totally flame you let me explain why its stupid. Everything in DUST has a price tag and vehicles should have about the highest price tag. To make them cheap, even by having a militia BPO of that vehicle depletes the worth of all other vehicles. Why pay for an Eryx if you can just deploy endless amounts of Vipers that cost nothing?
What they should do is allow for "Training BPO's" that can only be used in a sort of "training" mission where you get no SP or ISK. You can learn to fly that dropship until you are awesome with it to mitigate lose in real life so to speak, but these training BPO's cannot be deployed in real games. |

some kind of test/training area to learn to fly would be great.
Old build had unlimited milita dropships, it caused all kinds of problems. |

In the future (like a year+), we'll get some form of industry - which should let us make our stuff.
Economic scarcity shouldn't be changed much, due to the ability of CCP to tweak material requirements. However, the secondary Player Market is going to have to come before industry, or there will be an inherent imbalance in having Industry in the first place. |

Im also a pilot and i would have to say NO NO NO NO NO blueprints , its bad enough already when a newberrie brings in a dropship and rams mine 3/4 of the way into the mach because they cant fly. This has happend on many occasions so id say the pricing is fine , if you dont like loosing dropships , DONT take them into battle , as iv mentiond in several threads if ive got both my gunners online i can go between 2-4 maches without loosing a dropship. The risk of loosing your ship should teach you to how not to loose it , i.e. get in dropoff troops get a couple of kills for your gunners and get out to your safe zone. If you dont have a safe zone then your not looking hard enough, and if you havent though about your safe zone , your really not up to piloting. just my 0.02isk |

150k is very cheap for a dropship - having something like that for free would be ridiculous. The reasons why are well enough listed by the people posting above me, so I won't repeat what they've said.
What I will say is that even if vehicle BPOs were ever made an option, look at the price of BPOs for dropsuits - can you imagine the cost of a BPO for a vehicle? I reckon you're talking like $20 worth of aurum for one vehicle BPO! And then that's instant pay 2 win |

i disagree if we had blue prints for dropships etc the sky would be filled with them... |

I should add that the point of blueprints is to help people get into the game and for when players have run out of money to buy suits and stuff. They are meant for basic low level items - dropships are not basic low level items; they are advanced vehicles and should always cost isk. |

Have you priced a Blue Print for one Drop Suit? They range to nearly 20K AUR. That is $10US. For a Suit that is less than 10K ISK.
Let play the Arithmetic game: 1 10K ISK Item Blue Print is $10US. 1 85K ISK anything would be $85US. I would imagine that a Blue Print HAV would have their little accountants running around high-fiving each other.
