Give us an option to turn the fluff off, this game runs far too slow.

Agreed. The game must be running at what feels like 15 FPS. I'm a massive EO fan and got a PS3 to play this game. I cant believe how low the FPS is. It is unplayable. |

It hasn't been fixed in over a year. Get ready for a long wait. Apparently they have more important things to worry about other than making sure you can play the game |

You're not gonna see 60fps (on PS3). The only FPS that comes close to 60fps on PS3 is CoD, and even that game struggles to do so, dropping frames randomly.
This game should be locked at 30fps. The problem it has right now is that it's not locked. The frame rate drops severely at times to what seems to be sub 15fps.
Here's a comparison with where you can see the difference between 60,30,15fps. |

I'll gladly go back to 1998 graphics wise if it means we can get more fps. |

You're talking about a console FPS. Yeah it has ties to EVE and all that nerdy stuff, but first and foremost it's a shooter. The crowd that plays shooters...well let's just say the importance of graphics is as important as gameplay to them.
Tbh, the graphics can't possibly be any worse at this point, so I don't know what's the deal with the frame rate. Yea the PS3 has very limited RAM, but even then, locking it at 30fps shouldn't be a problem. It's Unreal Engine.... it's not a super big power house graphical engine. It's a very versatile, and very used engine.
Only reason I can think of why the fps isn't locked, is because CCP is "busy" doing something else.
