I melee'd a guy 2x while he was using a Blaster... Then i just gave up and put 80 rounds of SMG into his back and barely had enough rounds to kill him....
Wasnt a Heavy. |

melee is weird, but i would say level your weaponry skill up for more damage, maybe. or your hand to hand combat. |

Totally needs to be looked at, makes sniping a helluva lot difficult if it doesn't register and I end up having to empty a clip. |

lol Its not that damage was the problem. Its the fact he wasnt taking any while his shields reacted. 80 rounds from an Assault SMG is like 1600 something at point blank. He should've died way before i reached the end of my clip.
And i dont have anything into my Hand2hand. I just wanted to shame him for being so absorbed in his Blaster Turret. My hand to hand should do 150 points of damage. A noticeable amount when most people still have Militia gear.
He wasnt a Heavy btw. He was a Logy iirc. |

Its not that i didnt do enough damage to kill him. The point is the bullets were not registering and doing damage. At 1056rpm and 20~ something damage at point blank. |

if the shield was reacting then your hits were being registered. To me that mean shield extender, possible at a high level. The problem here is the unknown
what type of SMG did you have? Where are your skills in weaponry? What type of suit did the other guy have? What skills did he have leveled up? Etc.
If you are using militia gear with little sp into your weapons and he is a vet with lots of sp in his shields this could happen. |

All of those questions i have previously answered already. But ill do it again.
My weaponry is L3. I dont run Damage mods on my Assault load out. Just two shield extenders, Armor Rep unit, and a Shield Regulator.
Had an Assault SMG. Their Health shouldnt just drop, it should go down in a stream, considering how fast it shoots. |

ok so what modules and skils did he have leveled up? question not answered. And since you said the shield was effected you were hitting him and he had on extenders. So in conclusion he had on shield extenders and a high level shield extender possible 2. There was no problem with hit detection. |

Ok. So two shield extenders could mean either 22, or 66 extra shields. Idk what the next one up is, haven't looked.
The fact is. 80 rounds and each one is supposed to do 20~ damage. That1600~ total and he died at the bitter end of my clip. I highly doubt he has accumulated enough SP as a Logy to have that much Shield and armor to resist the SMG's full affect at point blank range. Especially when you take into consideration i snuck up on him while he was on a blaster. Doesn't sound like a Vet who knows where to exactly put his SP.
Am i the only one who gets unregistered sniper shots, bunk shields reacting with no hit marker etc? |

... this makes sense. He did start dieing once he hopped off the installation.
Hit detection is still wonky though sometimes... lol

^this^ exactly correct the person you are firing on gets the damage marker so be ready when they jump off the installation to kill them.. I have also noticed if I fire at them from the side rather than directly behind them it makes a difference with this bug but could just be me. |

It's definatly a bug. I've emptied entire HMG clips into ppl at close range and had my HMG overheat while ppl take little to no dmg. |

Shield extenders just add to the total shield ... so any damage registered will still show, it's not like you have to wear down the extender before you start to see damage on the shield bar. (for those that were thinking that)
Yes interference from the structure (turret or objective or supply depot) is the most likely issue here, Devs still need to look at this because it is a pretty big problem.
The other aspect to consider is your shots efficiency ... you know head shots get a damage bonus (couldn't quote the figure but 140% sounds familiar) and at the other end of the scale if you're shooting his little toe you get a reduction in damage. However he would still show damage, just not as much as your weapon stats say he should. |

Im another one for the instalation interferance. i have noticed some pretty aweful clipping issues. I've straifed out from behind a container and emptied a full clip into the container despite it being a yard or more to the side of me. This happens alot shooting from cover usually resulting in me going further out and getting shot lol |
