While I approve the general sentiment I simply have to say if someone is already running proto (since there's no logistical way for them to be running proper fit proto) that is a awful build choice (yep, I'm looking at all you glass cannons out there who think going 100% dps is the right way to play and then start QQing when militia gear can kill you, of course it can kill you your defense is militia level )

New players, please don't fall into the dps trap, develop a well rounded character with proper support and core skills. (yes these do include dps skills, but not to the exclusion of the others)

But you can always make some quick cash in EVE hauling garbage to Quafe factory stations, if that tells you anything - they are always buying mass quantities of it.

Thus, why my EVE character never drinks Quafe himself...

Ahh, a call to arms is it? I see what's happening here then; the First Vet - Newberry War, Dusts first civil conflict. On one side, the experianced and highly skilled Closed Beta Force, on the other, the almighty horde of the Open Beta Militia.

The CBF has the tools, the training and the skill points, but they are vastly outnumbered as the daily influx swells the might of the OBM, drowning them in a sea of badly worded forum questions and terrible toon names. There can be only one victor to this fight, as the veteran forces become ever more obsolete and overwhelmed in numbers, but they will fight all the same, and the coming conflict will be bloody indeed.

The battle lines are drawn, let the war commence!

Or go 100% DPS, and melt those proto guys and when you end the match 15 - 6 and they end 15 - 2. you can laugh in the face of their 400k ISK Loss, while you're counting your losses on your fingers.

Militia Assault Guy ~ 400 hp thats 3 head shots from my DPS Assault militia guys rifle
Proto Assault Guy ~ 600 hp thats 5 head shots from my DPS Assault militia guys rifle

RoF is 750 rpm = 12.5 rps

So the Proto guy lasts 1/4 of a seconds longer in a perfect senario.

The tank will help later but the DPS is awesome.

If you can aim and hide then why do you need hp? Even tanked up you melt very quick when getting shot.

You're thinking of Soylent Quafe. They took that off the market years ago.
