If you look at the base HP combining Shield and Armor HP, the STD Tier II has an additional 30 HP over the ADV Type A suit! (at least for Assaults). The only up an ADV Type A has over STD tier II is that it has more CPU/PG.
What gives devs? Come on, the ADV should be better than the tier II in all aspects not just CPU/PG. The same goes with proto type A over Type B adv suits.
Now that I am on ADV suits, I find myself wanting that additional 30 HP and just up my skills in CPU/PG to fit my gear rather than use my ADV suit. |

It is better...it has another high slot with the better CPU/PG. I agree that better suits should have slightly better armor and shields but apparently std-proto was nerfed in this regard. |

You're right! I actually forgot that 3rd slot. However, that's just another basic shield extender which gives 22 hp which is still less than the 30hp difference with the tier II STD and the ADV type A (no additional skills are factored).
So, if I use 2 shield extenders in my Tier II and jump into an adv suit and fit another shield extender in it, I am still down 8hp. Give the ADV type A the same HP as STD tier II and I'd be content with just that. |
