Just tested it with 2 new characters, and new players are not prompted to do any of the tutorials after the first one, so they only get the Neocom tutorial. They don't get to see the fitting tutorial, skill tutorial, or market tutorial (unless they manually access it themselves in the help tab of the Neocom). This could explain why so many new players are clueless; earlier I encountered someone posting feedback, and he thought Dust had a set class system kind of like Battlefield, and didn't know he could edit his fittings.
I think its a bug, so I reported it already.

wow, Maybe the way of the merc video should not be skip-able.
EvE gave out free stuff in tutorial. Maybe a prompt saying do tutorials and get free stuff would help. Maybe have them make one of the starter fits and train a skill before letting them lose. |

Seriously a good idea to give free stuff for finishing the tutorials. Most people skip them considering all the QQing on this forum about "too much text" and then I'm stuck with morons on the battlefield that don't put down ammo OR droplinks or anything for that matter... |

Brilliant, I was in the process of writing a thread about educating new players, and I will definitely use those ideas. |
