beating a dead horse here.
been saying this since last summer, ignore everything else CCP, just focus on these two main issues.
1. LAG! you all know the type i'm talking about, where the announcer in the matches can't even finish a damn sentence. hit detection goes out the window, and fire fights come down to who puts the most lead downrange.
2. matchmaker: this is the most frustrating thing. the majority of calls for nerfing particular weapons would go away, if match maker didn't keep ddropping a team off all militia gear into a fight against a bunch of Creodron totting monsters. seriously, this is what's creating the huge attrition rate amongst new player, they pop in their first match and get slaughtered. a balanced match doesn't have one side players going 30/0 compared to the highest K/D on the other side being 5/27.

Lag is a constant problem with most games - But I would like it if the audio didn't skip.
Matchmaking issues is a biggie - earlier builds experimented with "militia gear only" queues, but I'm not sure why that feature was pulled. One thing I keep suggesting is a second Instant Battle that is only for squads - you form your squad, and pick the squad option. Their carrot for doing so is an increased ISK gain, and it takes pressure off of the newberries that use the "individual" option we have currently.
EDIT: Although it's a good indicator with the current match types (Skirmish is more about mowing down choke points right now), K/D won't always be the best indicator of performance. The dropship pilot who is constantly landing squads right where they need to go is basically carrying an objective-based match, even though he's getting absolutely zero kills. The same with a Logibro who repairs a Heavy distracting the enemy from the flanking maneuver going on right under their noses. In short - don't always rely on K/D to tell you what's going on in a match. |

"fix lag" is one of the most stupid requests I frequently hear. As if the devs never figured the game should run smoothly for everyone. |
